Well after years of saying 'I'll do it tomorrow' I finally started using The Claims Guys to contact any lender i've used to see if I was mis-sold PPI many many years ago. I don't think I will have been to be honest, the biggest chore so far is having to write down all my previous addresses on each of the claim forms!!

I don't think I will be one of those that gets back £1000s like you see on TV lol

Nope, cos I've never had a loan! Doesn't stop people from calling me endlessly telling me about a claim that I have though. Strangely enough when I press them for details of this PPI claim, they hang up!
Keep getting calls about a personal pension that I have that is due for review too - I haven't got one of them either.
Neither have I had an accident in the last few years, or a trip or fall etc, etc.
Good luck with the claim. I hope that it makes you a few quid :)

I have claimed twice (pestered by these ppi claim guys... just went with it) got £1200 odds first time and about £650 2nd time... minus their cut.... it can be done by yourself so you get 100% back but its a bit complicated. My wife is currently in the process of her claim just now.... worth going for even if certain you wont succeed... as i told them 2nd time around... i dont care that they take a cut... money i wouldnt have had anyway.

Cheers, well the forms went off this morning so will see what happens, I don't expect a quick process with any of this, never is when there's hand written forms involved!!

Yes my OH did it on cards and loans he wasn't expecting anything but ended up with a couple of grand.

He contacted the companies they asked questions as to why he had been mis sold and he just said well I'm in the army few weeks later cheque through the door

I got PPI back for my husband, was a few thousand and the original PPI wasn't that much, good old compound interest.

Crikey, I'd love a few grand out of this but I don't think I'll get it lol

Got a text yesterday to say they have got my forms so guess it's just a waiting game now...

My partner knows he is definitely due some money back at least, and he's found all the paperwork for it. We just haven't gotten around to sorting it all yet.

Going to use resolver on the green site to do it I think as they don't take any money at all

Gonna have to plan an evening on the calendar to make him do it, few grand would be super handy right now :)

If anyone has any questions regarding PPI, feel free to ask or message me as I work at a claims company.
Not going to say which one, as I don't want to promote or advertise it.
Being completely honest, it's such a simple and easy process, you're much better off doing the claim yourself, and saving the hefty percentage that the companies take at the end.
In regards to the amount of money people get refunded, they do often think that they're not going to get much back. However, you don't just get a refund of the amount of charges you paid, but a base rate of 8% annual interest on top - this is were the bulk of the money comes from.

I claimed for an loan from many years ago and got a nice cheque. Because of the time limit introduced to claim. I've just done another claim. As I'm terrible with paperwork and remembering things I just ticked every box with every lender, put in my old addresses- some I had to google- pmsl. And sent the form off Saturday. So waiting to hear back. I know I lose some as the company will take a share but hey I still get something.

Looks like they've stared processing my MANY claims forms
I've had 2 email this morning one starting 'Unfortunately' and another one saying 'GOOD NEWS!' for a different lender and that they are going to send me another form to fill in about my PPI with this lender.

I look forward to my £32 PPI refund lol
