Streetspotr - How do you feel about it?

I did my 1st 2 'streetspots' today in the same place. It was one of the tariff board ones in Burger King and another one but I felt really awkward doing it and received a sarcastic comment from a member of staff. Wasn't really sure how I was supposed to take it. As with the rules I didn't take any images with staff or customers in them.

Does anyone have any top tips for feeling at ease with streetspotr and how to make it less obvious? Especially with images like the tariff board where you practically have to sit on the counter to get the right angle.

Thanks in advance.

There's no easy way around it I'm afraid apart from using the "put headphone in on iPhone and use the up volume button to take photos so it looks like you are listening to music" trick.

I've been caught taking photos as I'm sure plenty others have on here but that's just part of the game I'm afraid.

I done the burgerking one as well. The best thing would be to tell them that you need to take the picture for a friend to send the menu.

Guys there's a letter of authorisation with the task to show staff. Don't even try to do it incognito you don't need to. "Hi I'm doing some price audits on behalf of Burgerking, do you mind if I take a couple of photos of your menu board?" *Show letter* *click, click* Job done. Helps if you go in early when they're not busy but make sure the lunch menu is up, not breakfast.

That changes things! I can't see the letter link on the task in app, do you know if it only appears when you accept the spot? Thanks.

OMG I did my first tariff one about a week and half ago and it got rejected. XD It made me sad but I tried again the very same day. I did it whilst the staff were busy making my order. I've never done another tariff post ever since but I have done the Burger King MS and the Wilko one. Weird thing is that I've never even tried to take it incognito, just seems like more hassle than its worth. I seem to be having trouble doing the GoPro display but I'll definitely give it another try.

Could you please point me to where I can find it as I'm not seeing it - even with my glasses on. lol

Edit: I was looking at the wrong task. Silly me, it was a McD I was looking at. Maybe they should add one for that as well.

I like this, it definitely seems the way to go as the angle for taking the shot can be quite difficult.

I just did a burger king one today. It was so awkward and the guy was really grumpy. I had to hide and wait for him to be busy so I could pop out and take the last photo!

I then tried to do a McDs one but the location in the app was totally wrong. I went to the right place (a few miles away!) and tried to do the task there but the app wouldn't let me because I was too far away. I took the required photos then drove back to the pin location and did the task (with the app crashing all over the place), taking photos of the wrong location and leaving a note in the task saying I would email the photos over. I did so later, but they aren't having any of it and won't pay me for the task. Big waste of effort.

Think I'll just stick with Roamler.

Not sure about other areas but for me since Christmas Streetspotr has been the burger app. I'm not getting any other jobs at all on there apart from those.
