hah, tell me about it!

The last BIG one was me being forced to move to paid forum software due to how much TMS had grown

This one is the same paid forum software releasing a huge update that I've had to apply

Shouldn't be anymore for at least 2 days lol
Two whole days you say?

:D

I've always thought, something that's missing from the list of reactions is one that says thanks

Loving the new site. Looking fresh!

Is there a way of 'marking all forums as read' as we previously could?

Can't find it...

Don't worry, you're not going crazy and may have noticed we've had a BIG upgrade tonight on the forum.

I will be turning on our 'like/love/funny etc.' system back on tomorrow with even more improvements that you will like plus turning on other functionality that may be missing at this time of the the night.

It looks a lot nicer, old version looked so outdated this looks a lot nicer and makes me want to post now!

Thanks!

Still a bit of tinkering to do but I do like how 'flat and smooth' everything is on this version ;)

Thought someone had spiked my can of Strongbow with an acid tab when I logged o_O
But love the new crisp smart layout

lol, it's more than the skin that's been updated it. It's the entire backend and functionality

and if you thought the previous one was dull it's a good job you weren't here for the very very start of TMS!!

For future reference (and because I’m obviously a bit thick lol) if you want to come out of the ‘post reply’ function - because you’ve either selected reply by mistake or changed your mind - how do you do it? I’d erroneously started to reply to something and it still wanted me to proceed, even when I’d moved away and viewed other threads. It was even still there this morning. I’ve now posted this so it should’ve cleared but would be good to know for future please

That feature has been in play since we moved to the current software a good few months ago. The site remembers that you were going to reply etc. so if you change your mind just delete what's in the reply box at the bottom and carry on as normal ;)

I've noticed that if I want to search the forum and click on the 'search' box at the top to enter a query, there is nowhere to type this in - I have to then click on the 'advanced' button to get a type-able (is that even a word?) search box in order to do this.

Is that correct? Or am I missing something?

This is how the search works ;)

Okay, thanks @Jon, not just me then! Did it used to be different, or am I thinking of the green site?
