My other half says he finds it worrying that you’re giving so much info out about yourself in surveys and worries about me being scammed. I do understand his worry. Anyone have an opinion or view on this?

I have signed up to quite a few survey sites recommended on this forum and feel that they are safe to use. Having given my email address and other contact details, I've not had any issues, spam or calls from any scammers.

Stick to the good, safe sites (@katykicker has loads in her signature) and you won't have a problem. I've been doing surveys for decades and have never been scammed. But, if I am doing a survey and they are asking for more information than I am comfortable with, I close it.

I am the Survey Queen and I'm yet to be scammed. I give out my address and date of birth and things but I would never answer any questions taht were related to security, place of birth, mother's maiden name etc just to be on the safe side. I also use a different password with Apple passwords for every single website x

That’s good to hear everyone. I think that strong passwords are vital.

It could depend on the site you use and the questions asked. With Qmee they always give a warning before surveys not to give any data that would make you identifiable e.g. full address. I give a postcode sometimes and always a variation of my name but never too much data. He probably is wise to be wary!

Yes agreed it’s good to have a separate email address as it tend to generate a lot of traffic
