Sign up to Cleo using my link and we both get ourselves a free £5! http://m.me/meetcleo/?ref=cleo-xbQyPT (Please note that this link should take you to Facebook messenger and open a chat with Cleo - a robot)

You'll need to sign up, and give read-only access to your bank account. This allows Cleo to help you budget, save money and more.

Once you're signed up, and have added one bank account, click on Cleo Wallet (swipe along) to create your wallet and your free £5!

The link keeps taking me to play store and redirects to Facebook messenger.
It is meant to re-direct to Facebook messenger @Bow382 - it should open the message with Cleo, and then you sign up and do everything via Facebook messenger basically. :) Hope that helps

I don't use messenger, it slows my phone down too bad I find. I use Opera as a browser intead of the space hungry chrome, Opera allows me to use FB and message people from the site. Thanks for clearing it up though.

That's ok, if you wanted to get the £5 you'd only need messenger for a couple of minutes to do it, then the money is right there in your wallet to cashout x I've updated the post to avoid wasting anyone's time :) x Thanks

Ok cool thanks for explaining. I have messaged them to ask, saying I had a referral code. I sign up later tonight. Thanks again for explaining and sharing.

It is bank-dependent, but HSBC are bringing their own one out soon and open banking is coming so all of this will just become commonplace.

I understand. :)

I just hope people are aware they are essentially giving a stranger all their bank details, including your online log-in password. If you get 'hacked' the bank will more likely than not refuse to recover/replace your funds as you've done something that is not only against their T&Cs but also something that is IT101 ... don't give your username/password to anyone else.

Well, like I said it is bank dependent. So some banks don't have a problem with you using specific apps, Cleo being one of them. Each person needs to check with their own bank. Also, they have bank-level encryption.

Open banking is going to be the norm later this year.
