Anyone else got an email today about a forthcoming English project with Appen?

Not sure whether to say I am interested as the pay is 10 AUD per hour, which I work out at around £5.65 per hour, so sounds abit low perhaps? especially if there are conversion fees on top to take into consideration.

Would appreciate any input from @Jon @Lizziew24 and others who have done Appen, thanks :)
Not had that one @Knopfler. I’ll let you know if I hear anything though. Does seem a bit low. It might be worth expressing your interest though. And then of course you may never hear back, in typical fashion!! :);)

Hello, I have just applied for one job through Appen. Do I need to apply for all jobs that I like the sound of or will my one application do for all?

Sorry if that's a really stupid question!!

Hi, @Lizziew24 :) I told them I was interested in finding out more about it and they sent me a guide of what it would entail and a test for it.

Having looked at the guide I decided not to pursue it as it looked too intensive for me, for little reward.
You basically have to 'tag' between 100 - 120 things per hour, and the 'tags' mean looking for about 4 or 5 different things, not just one thing, as far as I could work out.

Oh well, gives me time to try and get my head around acca's and horse bets now .....................................

Oh that sounds a bit full on for not much reward. I expressed my interest about the social media role but nothing back despite them saying someone would be in touch 24-48 hours. That’s a week since.
Yes, I keep meaning to learn accas but despite me knowing what they are I cannot get my head round the fancy spreadsheets! I’ll have to take a day off ;)

I just got an email inviting me to be a social media assessor, so ads assessor I guess. This is the job I do for Leapforce but that’s max 7 hrs per week whereas this is max 20. It just tells me to log in to my dashboard and click interested and they will be in touch, but don’t want to get kicked off both!!
I had that email too on Friday. They said they would be in touch within 48 hours (that was a week ago)?

Mmmm it’s so annoying that you get these glimmers of something then you don’t hear anything! I might send an email...;)

Yes it's a little frustrating. If you do, let me know if they get back to you : )

Have you heard anything about the Social Media role yet, @Lizziew24 ? Or is that a daft question , given it is 'Not 'Appening' we are talking about!

Anyone get an invite to record some phrases? I was going to give it a go since there was an implication that more work might be available but it's overly complicated and poorly paid.

Ha ha that made me laugh! Have I ‘ek!! However, I’ve since had an invite from Lionbridge for social media somet or other. Says you need gmail. So I’m not sure if this will be compatible with Leapforce as may be different client. Might need to look into this.
You back on MB’ing then??

Not had that invite yet @snowwhyte :( but sounds better than the 'tags' one I got offered the other day (which I declined as being too intensive).

I think I prefer the phrases tasks as they do not affect me as much as the visual ones.

It does sound like their pay rate has declined though, so maybe they are not worth the hassle anymore? (and that is from someone who has done low paid surveys, to earn just a couple of quid in an hour, before)

I was thinking the pay had gone down and wondered if it had anything to do with the Leapforce merge. It depends on how quickly you can work but it isn't much more than you would get for surveys.

Hi, @Lizziew24 :) - need a 'wave' icon here.

You might as well apply for the Leapbridge one and see - then sod's law you might end up with both, ha ha!

I'm just TRYING to get back into MB'ing but still finding the horse bets too quick, even with the Oddsmatcher and Racing Matcher on OM. No way would I even attempt an each way one.

Have yet to dip my toe into the Acca's, though did do a double using the Acca Finder last weekend. I am unable to use the spreadsheet suggested as I don't have Excel but was told I could do it using the Acca Finder, so am trying it that way.
Also Jon says 'you don't need a spreadsheet' remember!

I feel ok with normal bets, but can’t get my head around accas yet. Im determined to learn for Cheltenham though!! I’ll take a look at the acca finder. I want to do the ones that you do all in one go as I don’t have the time to do it one by one. Here’s a question @Jon , how many accas would you need to do per week to earn roughly £25?

Just got this invite the other day BUT it is for smartphones and tablets ONLY so I can't do it anyway, sigh!

Unable to see what the 'complications and pay' are as you need to sign an NDA Agreement to see what the task involves, so I have no idea if I would have gone for it anyway.

Please don't reply on here @snowwhyte if you have signed the NDA :)
