Is there a specific reason you're so tired? x
I do two night shifts a week and it just mixes my body clock up something rotten. There just isn't really any other work around here and I can't afford to give it up. I'm pushing 60 and insulin dependent so I've not got much chance of getting the jobs that do come up. I also child mind for my daughter 2 days a week, so she can work, after my Wed nightshift which I don't want to stop but it's burning me out. It's the job I want rid off and I'm doing quite well with the MB and mystery shopping but not enough to rely on. I'm trying to find my way back into the world of work after years of caring for my parents who both had alzheimers, Mum is still alive but in residential care. It's really hard and I'm still emotionally exhausted from dealing with the horror that is dementia 24/7. I just need a nice wee job to pay the bills and some side hustles for treats. Not too much to ask?

I can relate too on dementia, its awful and until you have to deal with it personally you don't realise. My nan wants to die, tells us all the time, she's 95 and fit as a fiddle physically but her mind is gone and she's the depressive sort of dementia so it's really hard.

Thanks. Mum's situation is the only really negative thing as it can't get better. It's an awful illness that doesn't just affect the person who has it. Carers need more support but they are getting less and less. Moneywise I'm a long way from starving unlike some people who must find themselves in a similar situation. I'm just worried.

Sounds really hard going on you!

My husband is a shift worker and he's struggled in the past himself.

Hope you can find that perfect job too x

Well, I didn't book myself into anything today. Decided that I wouldn't do anything and I wouldn't worry about it. As a result I discovered tennis! Watching it and betting on it I mean. Not playing it! Gearing myself up for Wimbledon makes sense.

There are usually some great Matched Betting offers around for Wimbledon with the only downside being the unbelievably rapid odds movement you have to deal with lol

I was doing fine on Ladbrokes 10% cashback if you lose tennis offer. Odds boosts meant low QL's plus 0% commision on odds monkey plus watching and getting to know the players until disaster struck and my internet packed up after I'd placed my £100 bet, more than usual, but before I managed to lay it! No mobile signal, not unusual around here. It could have worked out well but it didn't. On the plus side I signed up to Circus bingo on top cashback for the £15.15 cashback, Deposit and wager £15 done and I'm £1 up. Great thinks I £16 profit. Next day email saying don't forget you 1 daily spin so I logged in and discovered that I'd won £50 on the bingo. Great so I put on my left over tickets. Next day 1 free spin and I'd won another £30 on the bingo. I've still got todays to check then a couple of tickets for tomorrow and a big game towards the end of the month but so far as long as cashback pays out I'm £96 up. There is also a few £'s with wagering requirements but I'll sacrifice them and take the withdrawable £96.

I'm feeling quite well organized with my matched betting despite last weeks loss:rolleyes:. I haven't made much money as my horses kept winning when I wanted them to lose and losing when I wanted them to win. Same with the tennis! thought I was onto a dead set loser and he only went and won at big odds so no point in doing that offer again until next week.
I haven't done much mystery shopping either though I did get my moustache threaded which is the strangest, and most painful, shop so far. So it's not a good week moneywise but being a bit less busy has done me good.
It's 03.15 lunchtime at work. Chicken samosas and a banana. It's been a quiet night so far. None of the callers have been overly aggressive or upset.

Don't sweat about the Matched Betting loss. Even 4+ years down the line I still make mistakes LOL
Those crazy shifts must really mess with your body clock! Surprised you can still manage all the mystery shopping etc around it lol

Oh they do and cause of the travel I bring home under minimum wage. I used to hate the atmosphere at work but now I can see that the job just really 'gets' to everyone except the psychos. I ended up up £109 up and £35 in free bets today whilst juggling a 1-year-old. So tonight's shift doesn't feel too bad. My best day mystery shopping was £147 and that has just hit my bank account too so it's all good.

The weekend was good for matched betting but monday was bad. Did a casino bonus, played the wrong slot and lost. Then played the right slot and ended up down even more . I also thought I had been gubbed by Coral but I don't seem to be as I got my spins when I phoned customer service. Working my way through a load of MS calls. They tend to vary quite a lot time wise. Very tempted to phone in sick tomorrow night. Not something I've done before but I'm not sure I can face the 'comedown' on Thursday of pretty much no sleep.

Good couple of MS jobs at the weekend but sometimes I feel so slow when I'm writing reports. On both jobs the same thing annoyed me though. On the first there were 2 members of staff serving approx 70 people and on the second only 1 to cover all sections of the venue. Really it was impossible for them to do everything. The staff did not require more training, or a poor report. They were working hard and doing well. What was needed was more staff.

This week has been less hectic than usual. In fact, it has felt quite well balanced. I've done less mystery shopping jobs, didn't have a class to teach, and only had one night shift. If only I could find something reliable to replace the night shifts. Actually, let's change that to when I find something reliable to replace the night shifts I think I'll manage fine..

You can do it just keep pushing, trying new revenue streams and working!
