Thought it would be interesting for us to have a thread where we can share our top sale of the week every week / as and when it happens.

I’ll start off in the next post.

Top sale for me this week has been a pair of shoes (Dr Martens on eBay) for £50.25 + £5.05 shipping.

Didn’t spend anything on these as they were bought for me around 8 years ago, worn three times and then never touched again.

Mostly small sales this week. Sold a tool for £19.99 that cost £3 and some bicycle stuff for £20 that cost about £3.

The pain of ebay! Twice I have sold a Rocking Horse for £50 this week (collection only) and twice, both buyers lived in Europe! I clearly stated COLLECTION only. Crrrrrrr

Hi @Dick Barton

I tend to ignore international bidders - you can set it in your sellers prefs to only sell to people in the UK (or you used to, when I last cleared out a load of items on ebay).

My seller prefs are so tight I have had people message me to say they'd like to bid but can't.....at which point I block them completely and lose no sleep over it at all.

I’ve been sending things out in time for Christmas so I haven’t been looking too closely but I think my best sale lately has been a Wallace and Gromit bag that’s just gone out today for £16.50 give or take a few pennies.

Best sale is a game Ghettopoly. Bought for £1.99, sold £35. In reply to the Rocking horse saga I do send a lot of items overseas through the ebay shipping programme without problems.

I'd say a quarter to a third of my sales go overseas, I think because the exchange rate benefits them so much. I've messed up a couple of times by under charging on postage, especially heavy items to America which can be a lot but have never had any problems and everything I've sent arrived ok.

I have basically closed down until the new year. but had a few small sales. The best of these was for a plug in TV game which I bought for £1 and sold for £15.
