So I'm basically in the position where I was made redundant last year and, although I found a new job fairly quickly, I'm earning much less. I'm on a mission to earn enough part time to cover my debt repayment (which is a lot - about £700 a month), so I can actually have some of my wages left at the end of the month and get back into a financially comfortable position. Under no illusion that it's going to happen overnight, but giving myself a year to get the ball rolling. First goal is to try for £200 a month.

Started a little sideline of selling bits on Facebook / Ebay before Christmas, which I plan on doing more of and doing it better. I also have a lot of writing experience, so want to look into blogging / affiliate marketing / freelancing etc.

Anyway, today I've signed up to a few survey sites and got the ball rolling. Earned £20 already, so it's a start. Now I'm going to have a rest and read all these posts / steal all of your ideas :)

Hi @Xenners good luck. I've lurked about for years, before deciding 2019 is going to be the year to really get my act together! It's a brilliant site, thanks to the recent help I've got here, I'm just about to jump into starting my own blog :)

@kaiserpups Hoorah! Let's get our act together together then :) I really have no choice but to sort my life out in 2019 or else I'll be in big trouble.. I'm so happy I found this site. Let me know how your blog goes. Happy to hear any tips you may have.

I like Prolific Academic for surveys. I just leave a tab open while I do other things and you get a little notification on the tab when you've got a survey ready. You do need to be quick though as they go fast, but I like them as if you get offered a survey, you don't get disqualified. It's not going to earn you a living, but I do manage around £40 ish a month from them and they don't take much time.

I'll give that one a go, thanks. There are so many sites. It's hard to know which one is going to be the best, as I don't really have time for them all. I signed up to Appen today too. Might just give up sleeping :)

You will end up doing what most of us did which is as you go about using this site and find higher and higher paying work you will end up dropping the 'bottom feeder' stuff for higher paying stuff and you will then get to a point where you are happy with what you are earning per hour..

So don't worry too much if it feels like you are signing up to everyone under the sun as you won't stick with it all ;)

Yes, my inbox is pretty full of confirmation messages right now! Went a little sign-up crazy today, as been off work and am in a money-making frenzy. I'm going to stick mainly to the ones I've seen on here that seem to be working for others and then I'll phase others in if I have time.
