So I want to be able to receive money, whilst keeping some form of privacy (I promise it is not illegal, I just have a stalker that I had to report to the police), and PayPal, plus my email address attached to it won't offer me the option to keep my name private. I looked into Circle, but there seem to be loads of people advising to stay away from it. Which is the most hassle free site/app that lets you send and receive money AND keep your name private?

Venmo and Google Wallet, but none of these can be "private" you have to give your name to each of them, only cryptocurrencies would be fully private.

You could try PayPal.me for direct payments i think you can set any name up to show during payment (fantasy or fake as well)

https://cash.me/app/WSRWGCV as well you can choose a tag (cash.me/YourChoice)

With Paypal you can have a 'short link' so people can pay you without your name attached

ah scrap that it does when you click through to it

So you want it to not show your name AT ANY TIME during the payment transaction?

Western Union requires Full Name and Address, ID verification too.
Hmm Tricky one this.

Giving people your sort code + account number would mean you can receive payment without anyone seeing your name

Question is how and from where does she wants to receive payments from.

sort code + account number isn't necessary many banks support mobile phone as a recipient. just have to sign up to the service

I just checked out PayPal, and they won't let you change without a reason (like changing due to legal name change or marriage), and I never know if it's safer to hand out account number and sort code. I can see why services want a real name from you, I just wish they would let you use just your first name, for example?

Also, I want people to be able to send money with the ease of Paypal, but being able to hide at least my surname, so they can't find me? I'm aware I now sound paranoid lol.

Circle! I don’t know where you’ve been hearing bad things but I’ve never had a problem and they let you send and receive payment via and email address. You have to confirm your identity with THEM but they don’t allow recipients to see your identity if you click the receive by email option.

Think you'll struggle to remain anonymous in the world of money, even cryptocurrency website are requiring I.D verificatation due to KYC (know your customer) rules. Alternative I use to PayPal is Skrill if that's any use to you?
