Hi, as most of the high odds (ie over 5.0 which Oddsmonkey) tell you to do) bets are for horse racing, I have decided to brave it and started making my free bets horse racing ones. Was just wondering though, if for example the odds are 6.0 for horse A to win, would you click on the horse or the price and not tick the each way box on the betting slip. Thanks

Yes, the price is the odds. Just click the odds and the horse should appear in your betting slip and you can type in how much you want to bet then click submit or whatever the button is.

If you are betting to win then don't tick the each way box.

Be cautious about making your qualifying bets on low odds football matches then placing your free bets on higher odds horse racing. Its one of the things thats flags you up as matched betting.

Ok thanks very much for the info. Will bear that in mind and try and look for alternative high odd events when I can

You could try also putting bets on football accumulators. There are lots of pre-made accumulators available to Lay on the Exchanges, especially on Saturday's and they are far less suspicious than horses (if you're inexperienced with Horse Racing).

On Smarkets you can find them under Football - > Accumulators. On Matchbook they are under Soccer and Specials and if on Betfair they are under Football, go to the relevant league and they have something like 'Acca Saturday'

Hmm, I might have done this once or twice already. Hopefully I get away with it, I'm assuming it's fairly rare to get gubbed straight away from one sign up offer!

Any other bets to avoid?

I know big arbs are a no go - not really worth the £1 profit on £100 bet or whatever it is if it gets the account gubbed.

Super low league football? But if only MB'ers etc bet on these why would they even offer the markets?

That's what I always think. They offer weird and wonderful foreign markets and then gub anyone who bets on them. I guess it depends on the profile you build up with the bookmaker.

I think English league football and european major leagues are pretty safe as are big sporting events like the open golf or wimbledon tennis, big boxing match etc.

The big thing to avoid is chasing the best odds matches and blindly betting on whatever is at the top of the odds matcher, like Albanian goat racing or something.

Yes

Sunday evenings

I watched it as a kid, not even sure why. Not even TRANS WORLD SPORT covered it!
