Hi, still trying to get into the swing of things and getting there slowly but surely. Just got a couple of questions:

1. How many offers does everyone do on average a week, I know this can vary and have started to do at least one Extra Place offer a day, plus others.
2. Does anyone use the overlay method as standard to minimise loss, for example with bet and get offers where you earn say £3, to stop the loss being taken off that £3 if you get what I mean.

I might be moving house soon and have quite a lot of overheads comping up to say the least, looking to really maximise my earnings from matched betting this month. Thanks

I typically hit around 30 offers over the course of a week. A handful more during the football season. Saturday races alone I will have around 8 horse different refund offers in place for the afternoon!

How do u not get gubbed

Iv tried to be so careful but after only 2/3 months Iv been gubbed by coral , betway, Jennings and the pools

I bet within hours of the event, try to do over the min bet, mug bet

I was told to avoid horse as apparently that’s a sure fire way to get gubbed

I was told to not do sequential accas as that smacks of a matched better, so I didn’t

Just don’t get how some people can do anything between 10-20 horse races a week and I do 2-3 and get gubbed

Love this Mb thing but just can’t see how I can sustain it with the gubbings

It’s also pretty disheartening when u think ur being careful and u just get gubbed

I have been gubbed by a handful as well make no mistake :)

Losing Jennings and the pools are nothing Account’s so don’t worry about them

coral you will get back in probably 6 months
I only do weekend horses, usually around 10/15 offers across numerous bookies and the mug on the Sunday afterward using match catcher to keep the qualifying loss to minimum

That’s interesting to know re coral

With your weekend horses can I ask is it the extra place offers u do

Do u mind me asking which bookies u use for that

I’m tempted to hell with what I got told previously and just do some weekend horsey bets

I don't do extra places, just regular horse refunds so ones where the horse comes 1st, wins by x number of lengths, wins with odds above 4.0 etc.

I'm confused though, cause when I read the guides on OddsMonkey, I usually says that those ones aren't worth doing, also don't really understand the methods. Will watch some more videos For what its worth have been gubbed by Genting, Coral, The Pools and Mo Play

It’s a confusing game isn’t it

not so much as in how to do the process .. back/ lay etc it’s more the strategy in keeping accounts alive whilst making good money from them

I actually find myself getting stressed about it lol.. which I know is stupid as it’s free money end of the day I just want to try and make it go on as long as possible

The main point to extend longevity of accounts is - don't take blatant arbs and out of line odds. Blend in and don't just bet on offers will surely help. Then again, a gubbing can strike at any time, so who knows? But from knowing people who work in betting shops, it's the potential liability that concerns bookmakers most.

that’s the thing I lost coral the other day and I was so careful so it shut me for six a bit that one

I didn’t take arbs, avoided really close matches, I did the occasional mug bet

I did the bet club always betting 30 instead of the minimal 25 through the week,

I basically think it’s Cos I did one of their weekend goals for free spins offers ... again betting £5 over minimum bet but I won about 28 quid on the FS so I think they got the hump on

ironically the following day they banned me I got a customer service questionnaire ... normally I don’t bother .. but this time I did .. and let rip lol

wouldn’t havemade any difference but made me feel better

What’s the point I offering customers deals when ur going to restrict their account when they do

Gubs happen. It’s just part of the course but losing a handful of bookies is not the end of the matched betting world. If it was then no one would be doing it long term and earning thousands from it each year

Hey jon
Was just re reading a few old posts and remembered I never asked u about this
When u say should get coral back in 6 months or so .... should I be mugging them in the meantime or just lay dormant and sit and wait for a we’ll take u back email ?

With regards overlaying, I used to do that to ensure zero loss everytime. However, mathematically speaking it's a bit pointless if you do loads of offers and take a long term view. I guess I'm biased as im a hybrid matched bettor/advantage player these days.

That’s really interesting about Coral un-gibbing after six months.

I assume they don’t email to tell you about it? You just have to keep checking if they will let you do the promos?

Do any of the other big bookies unpublished after a period of time do you know? I have gubbed from Betway and Skybet out of the biggies.

That's interesting cause I have seen a few good Coral offers on Odds Monkey recently. Might try and see if if I can do some Coral offers when Cheltenham comes round.
