Fantastic utest earnings there! Did it require a lot of work or were you on some very high paying projects?

A bit of both. I've been on there for a couple of years, and just over a year ago I was invited to join a fab team testing for a very demanding, but yes high(er) paying, client who is throwing a ton of work at us just now. A lot of the work is unsociable hours as the client is based in the US and wants us testing during their hours - not necessarily UK hours. Other months are not so lucrative - but that applies to any freelance work I suppose
You get out of uTest what you put in - I wouldn't say it is an instant earner, or one that you can dip in and out of randomly. You need to be consistent, reliable and "go the extra mile" to get noticed by test engineers when they're putting their teams together. If you end up in a good team it makes testing a pleasure, and you get rewarded by a higher rate of pay and a better way of working, in closed Slack or Skype groups. I love it most of the time, but it's just a bit too much at the moment
