hi ive been working on Jamuna and have recently been told I've been promoted to the escalator role but have found not much work I was wondering if anyone else has any experience with this and if it gets more work eventually?
I'm sure you don't mean to ask questions that involve a crystal ball but take it as a good thing that they have emailed! Appen are very random and take it for what it is. Sometimes they tell you you're on a project and then you never hear a thing back. Well that's my experience anyhow. I am on Carr too but haven't started yet as I'm struggling to get a moments peace with the kids. Plus the pay is pretty dire for 200 recordings.
Haha, I just wondered if getting an email from them (because this is the first time in months) is a sign that work might start coming through soon. What's the pay by the way? I didn't even look.
I was accepted onto Carr yet cant get on as there are no prompts at the moment. I have been told it was a temporary problem that has been fixed and I will be able to use it but that has not happened.
Which projects currently have the most work?
Thanks what projects are you on at the moment? It varies project to project and how lucky you are to get the work. Most of the projects Im on at at the moment are on a first come first served basis and the work comes in batches. Which are hit or miss as to when the batches come through.
For me Im not really being invited on long term projects.
Im on bane - hit and miss as to when work is (Ive done about two hours this month which is not bad for this one)
Peppermint - some months I hear and others I dont. About an hour work a month if Im lucky.
Recurring matla queues - went really well last month - I got work every weekend and on average did about 12 hours per weekend. But this month they seem to be having a bit of an issue with queues yet to see it if improves.
Every so often I get invited to do some audio recordings - had one last month and one this month but they are random and no set project.
Ah right - how did you get onto Peppermint and Malta? There's no option for me to apply.
I've had an email today saying I've qualified for the Alum job, I can't even remember what it was? I've signed all the paperwork, just got to wait for them to review it.
It's recording 200 prompts, which is expected to take 30 minutes.
Thank you. Sorry is that a one off or per day? And how much is it for please?
