Has everyone on here given up on MLM then?

HI, thanks for your reply. I get the theory about buying a card every month as it's obviously the only way that anyone makes any money. For example, I could just refer loads of people and not personally buy a thing, but everyone I refer could have the same idea, meaning there would be no sales at all. The owner of the website seems more focused on the designing cards aspect of the website and not so much the referral scheme, and would prefer that everyone promoted the actual cards as opposed to the potential earnings. I did order a card for my daughter's birthday and it was nice, good quality, affordable etc but I think it would be extremely hard to promote the cards to people who like myself are more inclined to just pick up birthday cards in asda etc.
And I could never spam my social media friends lists, hence why I asked if there was another way. I don't see myself going anywhere with this, because as Jon mentioned, there is just too much competition out there for people to be attracted to a small greetings card website.
I have been trying other ways. Really keen to get something with Leapforce or Appen but neither seem in a hurry :D

Its the buying a card thing that concerns me about this tbh - if everyone buys just one card where does the money come from?? I hate to say it but it doesn't sound like a sustainable business model to me, it kind of sounds like the only money going into this would be the money that the reps themselves would be spending - that's a pyramid no matter how you dress it up. while many MLM companies focus far too much on recruiting, there should always be a half decent amount of products being sold (I would argue that if the products aren't the main focus you should run a mile, but many would argue that no mlm puts the product first which isn't true but that's most people's experiences) if you are not selling something, only recruiting other people to join and in turn buy a card every month that's not right. I have a very small team, because I am only in it for a bit of spare cash, I make all my profit selling products not recruiting and I don't make a tonne of money either. There are easier ways to make more money from home these days but I genuinely enjoy what I do

Jon's going to kill me but I have just joined something  In my defence I joined purely to get a discount on the products but it appears that others may also purchase if they wish. No interest in team building, no interest in spending hours spouting nonsense about a laptop lifestyle and no interest in attending training sessions to be brainwashed. Jon will still disown me though:p

they always start with 'I'm not doing the recruiting, I just like the products...'

Not interested in that. Been there and done it. I just like not paying almost £100 for my favourite perfume. That’s pretty much all there is too it. However if I do come on here and say anything different to that I give you permission to blacklist me!

I used to do Kleeneze. I realised after a while it was probably a bit like being a member of a cult lol. I kept at it for quite some time but it was really difficult to make any real income without building a team, something I wasn't willing to do.

Is that still going? I remember those catalogues too. It seems like Avon is making a mass resurgence, certainly around my location anyhow. I'm very much ok for people to do what they need to do but without annoying folk.

No they went bust a couple of years ago after almost 100 years in existence!
