I’d go straight to Etsy mate. I’ve had 71 sales since the 5th July. About 15-20 on eBay.

Can I see some of your work?

Got myself up and running eventually. Decided to go down a couple of different avenues and see what sticks. Only 7 sales so far, 5 of which were the XBox controller prints. Got a couple more Christmas related ones to go up shortly.

Went for a HP ENVY 6032 in the end, however I still haven't decided which paper I actually prefer. I picked up some 190GSM Glossy and 220GSM Matte and finding myself liking the Glossy paper more, which I didn't expect.

Surely all those phrases you have in the Xbox controller are trademarked?

Given the sheer volume of those available across various sites, if they are, then they're not too bothered about enforcing them.

All it takes is one company deciding to sue you...

It's not a risk that I'm willing to take.

I'd better remove it them before a concerned citizen decides to strike one for the corporate underdogs and reports it.

I wouldn't report it but you never know who will. Some companies have people trawling sites like Etsy looking for listings to take down.

Sometimes they just ask you to take them down, other times you'd have to pay all your turnover to them, other times you could get sued.

Since selling books on Amazon, I've gotten a lot more knowledgeable on copyright law as Amazon is extremely tough on it.

Sorry that I haven’t kept up with this, just recovering from the flu!

Still just been doing my pictures on Etsy and Lionbridge ads. Couple of Prolific and Intellizoom studies here and there. I took some time off from the deliveries but I went out for a couple of hours today and made £25+ with Uber. Made about £70-80 today. Sales on Etsy this month so far are about £820. Last month was £872 I think so I’m hoping to beat that.

Getting ready to list some new prints on my shop. Also going to offer digital print only for £6 I think. And I’m considering offering framed prints, I’m thinking £20. Etsy will take about a £1 fee. I’d have to post it which is £3.10. I’d have to get something to post it in and probably bubble wrap too so about £1/£2 for that, I’m not sure. Frame would be about £3/£4 maybe. Paper/ink isn’t much. Would leave me about £10 profit. I have had a lot of people ask for their print to be framed.

If it were me, you are doing so well with the Etsy stuff that I would concentrate on that rather than have to drive around chasing the odd £20 with Uber.

Framing is a good idea. Especially if it sets you apart from other sellers.

The frame sounds like a really good idea. Good luck with it and really happy for you that it's going so well.

And hope you feel completely better soon

This is amazing, Rich.

I can't launch my store just yet as I am meant to be out of the country for 2 weeks in October (unless there is settings in Etsy for holidays..?).

Tentative go live is 24th Oct.

Thank you. And yes you can pause orders and put a message on your page to say whatever you want.

Not yet - I got myself a decent printer and the clipart I need.

I have started on my first actual listing but to be honest I struggle to find the time and energy at the end of the day.

One thing that is driving some motivation though is seeing the numbers you post! 261!

Not been able to check up with you Rich hows things going on the food delivery front? i know you werent getting much out of it when you started. I am now doing it full time.. i got a new car just for this and just this week changed to proper class 3 insurance after totting up how much i was giving Zego (in last 4 weeks i paid £260 to them, and thats without SD&P insurance) got the new car insured SD&P plus business use class 3 insurance for £1450 for the year.. reckon am saving around 65% this way as long as i keep doing it which seems likely as still furloughed but fully expect to be paid off in next few weeks) TBH am earning 3-4 times what my furlough wage is a week between Just Eat and Uber Eats.. hope everything has turned around for you buddy

Hi everyone. There’s not much to say really. I’ve literally stopped doing most of the things I was doing as my store is doing well. £1300 in sales this month so far. I’m still doing Lionbridge every day so that’s another £300. And IntelliZoom studies when they come through as they’re quick and easy. Hope everyone is ok and doing well!

Great to read you're feeling better and going all guns blazing on Etsy!

It's good hearing success stories like this in the current climate!
