Hello Everyone, my name is Iain and I live in Scotland.

A few years ago I did the matched betting gig coupled with arbing (obtaining profit by betting with 2 bookmakers where the price difference gives profit without using a bonus). I think my arbing activity caused me to be limited/banned by many bookmakers quicker than I would have been if just matched betting, but I also believe that bans will come sooner or later regardless of what you do. I now work for a bookmaker and know a bit about how the retail operation operates, but not online.

Since I was banned by most bookmakers matched betting was no longer viable and now I am looking at Sports trading. While it is not risk free, it can be considered profitable in the same way as trading currency or stocks.

As the profit from trading isn't guaranteed I am looking for something else to back up my earning potential which is why I am here.

Hi - newbie here. Longtime freelancer and matched bettor. Remember the good old times when you could earn 1K or more a month from betting offers, but that is long gone. Currently getting by mostly on my savings and needing to up my freelance game again. Did 4 years with Lionbridge a long time ago and am on a waiting list in the hope they might let me have that job back.

Meanwhile I'm checking out all the other bits and pieces on this forum, hoping to find other ways to up my income.

Aye up!

Was it Web Search Evaluator work you were doing for Leapforce. I did that for a good 2+ years before getting booted out.

Do you have any ideas for what you are looking to do?

It was web search but for Lionbridge. I quit because I was making a better and easier living doing other things. They said I was welcome back anytime I wanted, but that was 6 years ago and I doubt any of the people I interacted with back then would still be there. I just reapplied and as far as I can see when I log in my application is in a queue presumably awaiting for when they have need to recruit more people.

I'm also accepted but in a queue for video captioning work with Rev. Although reading people's experiences on here, maybe that doesn't sound like a great gig. I have audio editing skills, so I'm planning to offer services on Fiverr but I suspect that's a very crowded market to get into.

I'm not currently desperate for extra revenue, but I want to start gradually adding extra sources before I do get desperate.

Hi everyone!

I'm just starting my online money making journey and I'm looking forward to where it leads. I'd love to make around £1,000 extra per month. This would allow me to boost my savings by £500 extra per month and overpay my mortgage by £500 per month too.

I earn some money per month with Prolific, but that can be pretty hit and miss. I already have an account with Appen, although I'm not qualified for any projects at the moment.

In terms of future projects, I'm tempted to start a lifestyle / travel blog (I already have a domain and hosting, but I still haven't managed to start writing anything yet - although not sure I have anything 'new' to offer), and also utilise People Per Hour - I have experience in marketing / digital communications / social media / websites, so I'm hoping I have a number of skills people are looking for.

Not a fan of Matched Betting, so I wouldn't want to try that.

Any other suggestions would be welcomed!

Great to have you on here and posting

£1000 ish shouldn't be too much trouble.

i would look into stuff like Lionbridge (£300 a month doing social media rating work) and then combine that with apps like Roamler, BeMyEye etc for another £200 and then perhaps £50 from surveys and then whatever else you can pick up!

I think with the experience you've listed above you've got a good chance of earning some great money each month on the likes of Fiverr, PeoplePerHour etc.

Hi all!
Joined last month but have only done a bit of lurking so far - thought I probably ought to finally say hello :)
Like lots of people I was made redundant recently and I'm looking for whatever income I can get (mainly remotely) rather than try to leap into another full time role as I want to be able to spend some time getting back to writing (and interested in dabbling in content creation for YouTube) and with previous job commitments (long hours) I just didn't have energy left for anything else.
I'm having a good look around the forums and building a list of sites to try. New to everything at the moment!

Hello!
Fantastic to have you on here and posting! Do you have a target for how much you are looking to earn each month?

Thanks for the response! Since I don't currently have income but I do have plenty of time, I'm really just looking to make as much as I can - I don't have a particular set target in mind. Planning to start with some of the clicker-type sites, some survey sites and probably at some point I'll look into selling some services on Fiverr/similar sites as I've got plenty of writing and editing experience I could offer. :)

Hello, I'm Martin. Pleased to meet you all. Who wants a JellyBaby?

Currently trying to earn all of my income by alternative means. I'm in a lucky position and was able to quit my job a few months ago to try and live a life of - save - travel - repeat.

I have a foodie focused travel blog which maybe might someday make me money via affiliate marketing but honestly, it's more of a passion project and record of my travels both geographically and through life.

Right now my income streams consist of earning money with Deliveroo and UberEats. Soon, hopefully, I'll be on Stuart. Absolutely love the freedom of no boss and being out travelling around exploring my city. 'm also doing matched better. I'm working my way through the welcome offers at the moment.

So looking for new revenue streams! This seems the perfect place! Look forward to being a part of the Money Shed forum. See you around :)

Hi, I am David, 41 from Wigan.

Just been reading the forums and doing some research and looking for potential ways I can add to my income from work. I am looking for flexible things I can do alongside my 9-5 job, but I can do bits of things in the day as I am not busy everyday. I am not sure what suitable skills I may have but I work as a Demand Analyst in Mobile Telecoms.

I have started with Roamler, and any extra funds I would be investing through stocks and shares to build my pot for the long term.

For now I intend to do a lot more reading, but any form of extra income would be hugely beneficial.

Hi All, I am Jenn, like most I am here to share and get inspiration on side hustle ventures. I have dabbled in the usual side income streams, including surveys, field agent and designing and selling logos.

I am hoping to take it up a gear in 2021, be more structured and record £ made and how I have invested the funds.
