Money Making Megastar!
My daughter and I have had no issues but we never get offered the same studies so no race to do it first lol!
Yes you can BUT, if you both qualify for the same study, then the first person can do it, but if the second person also tries, then it won't let them. From their FAQ:
Multiple accounts per household are allowed but in order to avoid duplicate participants in a study, we have a mechanism in place that allows only one person per household to take part in a particular study. Please keep in mind that a household is anyone sharing an IP address with you. This is at home, your workplace, school, etc.
Here is an example:
If person A and B are from the same household and person A participates in Study X then person B will automatically be ineligible for Study X. Person B will only be eligible for studies that person A has not completed and vice versa.
Both my daughter and I were doing studies at the same time and it just got silly, as we were getting the same studies, so only she or I could do it. In the end she decided not to bother as I always got there first lol.
Hope it was at the start of the survey!!Bum - just got screened out of a £9 one. Obviously too honest...
You don't half get some funny studies on Prolific. I had one just now that was all about music, music, more music, extra music and then at the end HOW HAS COVID-19 CHANGED YOUR LIFE RECENTLY
never had any big ones on here just £1.50 here and there at best must be doing something wrong what browsers do you use?
Yeah I wouldn’t bother with prolific without using the PA plug-in!I'm too lazy to scroll up to see if it's been said before, but for those that don't know there's a Chrome extension called "Prolific Assistant" you can install which will make a sound every time there's a new study appears. It's not "instant" per se so you won't get in on them immediately, but it's great for when you're doing other things but see a good opportunity arise. Saves having a window constantly open

Firefox is my main browser which has recently introduced Prolific Assistant as well. I usually manage anywhere between £20-50 per month with it. When covid first kicked off it went higher. Is your profile up to date? I wonder if that might be making a difference.never had any big ones on here just £1.50 here and there at best must be doing something wrong what browsers do you use?
What ISP are you with?Well this is insane and not good news for someone being made redundant! Anyone else had this?
"It's possible that you are on an ISP that was previously allowed to access studies but is no longer able to. This means that we are unable to identify your ISP from your IP address. As a result, we can't be sure that the internet connection you're using is not a VPN or public network, which could be used to disguise a user's location and thus bring into question the accuracy of the data that we provide to researchers. While you may not be using a VPN or similar, we do have to err on the side of caution.
For the time being, I'm afraid that you will not be able to participate in studies via this particular internet connection. We have made note of your ISP to be prioritised when we recommence assessing ISPs."
@Queen Jess has the exact same issue recentlyHi...I have been on Prolific for a couple of years and done very well too, but the last few weeks nothing and I keep getting this type message...Anyone know how to get round this, I've changed nothing on PC etc so not sure why I'm getting zero surveys...
