That sounds really generous, how much roughly do you have to spend per job - is it really £40? Thanks. I'm very recently back with Roamler after a break and haven't done anything recently.

Hi@Lemonade23
Yes it really is between £40 and £50 you spend. It will vary depending on what is on offer.
You can also use your Tesco Clubcard and get points. Super easy job.

Thanks. Looks like I don't have that one at the moment. Just submitted a pet related task, so they might open up to me who knows :)

Does anyone know what the pallet jobs are like? They seem to be really lingering where I live, does that mean they're not easy. Also is anyone doing the EV charging ones, curious about those...thanks

I remember reading about the EV charging ones before, they don't seem too bad from memory.

Pallet jobs I don't know about, perhaps @mabozza may!

Thanks.....I can't remember what it said about them (EV) as it disappeared once I applied but I have a live chat about them this afternoon.

Did anyone do the new jobs on Roamler that they are trying out? First time in many years that I 've been pulled up and threatened to be reported to the manager for taking photos as it took 9 photos and lots of reading as you stand in the aisle....

I’ve had that happen a few times and luckily was always able to talk my way out of it!

Was the pay good at least?

£7. I think about 9-12 photos and lots of reading in task, which I think was the problem. Should be simple to do after the first one if they go nationwide :)

Hi Lemonade23. Curious what kind of job you took on, if you don’t mind sharing. I had my first couple of jobs with Roamler and I found it very daunting. Especially the guide through each time between taking photographs. Makes staff and security very suspicious of your behaviour. Only did 7 and 2 got even rejected. Took me ages walking from shop to shop and I find it has nothing to do with a mystery visit when you have to take around 15 well framed pictures and move around in the aisle and read your way through long written descriptions. Are there any jobs worth doing at all I wonder? I wouldn’t do any of the ones paying £5 or less. Anyone done the pallet searching jobs and can report back?

Thanks

This one was photographs for a certain section of the store. I think I stood out really bad as you had to photograph this segment from every conceivable angle, much more thorough than any other job I'd done for them. I actually find the lower paid ones easier, as they are quicker and you're less likely to get spotted. Great if you're shopping there anyway or in town on an errand. I have no idea about the pallet ones, no-one is doing any of them where I live so I'm guessing either they're not very good to do or my fellow Roamlers don't drive? I really should try one....

As an update, I had the £7 one rejected. Went back today to a store I could walk to, but was pulled up again after about five photos!! I've been doing ms and audits for 15 years and these are the only two times I've been caught in all those years so I'm going to stop doing them. You have to photo each bay, photo all the bays together from left and from right, photo from each aisle end and photo each gondola end.....with clear photos so it's hard to do without being seen. I also don't want to risk my regular covert audits as they pay more.

Is anyone still doing Roamler or any of the other similar apps? Are they still worth it?

Roamler deactivated my account because I haven't used it for so long but when I used to look there hadn't been anything worth doing in my area for ages.

Hi @homie,

The short answer from me is No.

I haven't seen anything on Roamler worth my while since well before lockdown. At the moment it is all Rate & Review jobs for £2.00 each and are, in Roamer's words, "strictly limited to 2 submissions per user per week!" The products to buy and review are all crap that I would never buy so there is nothing in it for me.

Over the summer I did lots of the Scrumbles cat and dog food jobs but that wasn't paid.
You bought the Scrumbles and a lot of the jobs meant that you had to pay up to £80.00 for the food and then get reimbursed. They were in Tesco and I bought them with my Tesco credit card and used my Clubcard so I did collect a lot of Tesco points. I still do this if I see it but the amount you buy now has gone down to about £28.00 so not many points.

I haven't bothered with any of the other similar apps as it is just not worth it to me.
Unless you have cats and dogs I don't think you have missed out on anything.

I did Roamler a year or so ago when I was light on other work. It was an incredible amount of work for the money, you could be expected to take 30+ photos in a store for the £4 fee. I ditched them when I got something better.

Exactly the same for me. These came in handy for my cats and neighbours dog but the r&r are poorly paid for the work and you can't plan locations. I occasionally do an r&r when out shopping to keep my account open!

I rarely do any as all the apps are insanely low priced now (50 plus pictures for £2 etc...) Roamler has R&R jobs which are OK, buy something review it on asda/tesco etc site keep the food and get a couple quid, other than that i havent done any other type of job on it in well over a year
