@Cas, those match specific coupons tend to be quite poor. You need the 'midweek quicklsip' or 'weekend quicklsip'. Lads also do Friday, Global and Sunday specific coupons for match odds. Those are the best.

They can cut the odds quickly at times and at other times hold them, it varies a lot. For example, there was a match this week that got printed on the coupon above 2/1, got cut to 9/5 (2.8), then 11/8 (2.375), then EVS (2.0) before kick off - but it was a sharb at various junctures.

Saturday morning can also be a good time, but again it's a mixed bag with price cuts and price holds.

Good luck, Any more questions please ask! :)

Thank you @rninja for the help . i will look at for these quickslips , will they be on the walls as normal ?

sorry don't really know too much about the betting shops ,feel a bit dumb standing in these shops looking around like i am lost .

When the cut the odds do they print out a new slip and put them on display ? or will odds be cut at the tills?

At Ladbrokes, the quickslips are the A4 printed coupons with a green header, they're in the stand with all the other coupons.
The odds are cut at the till, is there a price checking touchscreen there? The usually show the latest odds, I know some Lads, hills and coral have those.

when I did the paddy power mystery shop on bemyeye today I noticed the betting terminals have the odds in decimal. so presumably you could use those and it might be easier than faffing around with the coupons.

@homie, I'd steer clear of those SSBTs, as the prices have a built in overround (bookie profit margin) and you'll never find any sharbs. Stick to the printed coupons.

Thanks ninja, thats useful info. I thought the odds would have been the same.

I still sharb regularly. I love to do Pricewise, and boosts whilst I am in the shop. It's possible to make decent money.

@maccyb25, how long have you been sharbing? Shame that only Hills and Fred do Pricewise in shop now though, but still ££ to be had.

Is there a way finding out what offers are in store without going on to the bookies in the first place?

It's not that scary. If you want to get paid for it sign up to Market Force as they have a LOAD of bookies as clients and their Mystery shopping tasks are literally 'go in a place a £2 bet on anything'

THAT'S IT!
Really interesting reading this, i lost a lot of my bookies accounts a while back. So when ur sharbing , are u still laying against ur bet uv done in the bookies ?

Wow, you replied to a 5 year old post! I'll answer your question.
If you're truely matched betting then yes, you lay off the bet.
Advantage players do not lay off, or only partly lay off.
Advantage players reckon they make more profit, but there is danger. Only a small percentage of available capital should be used because long losing sequences of bets can and will happen, whilst a matched bettor can use 100% of his capital for a single b+l bet.
Two aquaintances of mine went bust by overbetting advantage plays, never believing losing runs of eight and nine bets could happen.

It's worth visiting Hills shops when they're offering a £10 or £5 free betting terminal bet for placing £10 on a football coupon.
Chelsea v Real Madrid (Wednesday) is one such occasion.
Specific match coupon with the offer at top will be required.
Alternatively just a £10 bet on any market of this match placed on the betting terminal - but first make sure that the shop has not run out of free bet vouchers, because, unlike a bet placed on a coupon, a betting terminal bet will not be cancelled.
I concentrate on the £10 voucher shops. From previous experience I know which they are. (Usually are shops in areas where there is competition from other bookies - where there is little or no competition it's a £5 voucher)
I aim to make at least £7 from each shop transaction. Last year from the Euro bets when there was a free bet when each of the home nations played, I did very well indeed. Enough to pay for a two week family holiday in a four star hotel, anyway.
