[OT] ShopandScan - Beep your shopping and earn some money

Hi does anyone scan their shopping in. I have done this for ages now (albeit it is by invite alone I understand). A combination of scanning weekly purchases, using the shop and scan app to monitor food purchases on the go, so you can double up and record your food mystery shop

I am roughly earning about £4 a week through these methods and have just treated myself to an Amazon Firestick so I can get iplayer on my telly initially very pleased with this freebie (albeit my internet is not working well enough this morning to get reception

Also bought a base for my £20 jumble sale Samsung TV purchase via this method - starting to make a list of what I want to purchase with Amazon vouchers

I used to do this when I was making £6.50 odd a week from it and were sending the same text 4 times a day mon-fri to food2go or whatever it was called

then they cut the pay , went to the app and I was OUTTA THERE!!!

I had massive issues with the food2go app. Stopped doing that but still scan my shopping. Takes me 2 minutes to scan some shopping and the little bit adds up. I use the amazon vouchers for stocking fillers or party bag bits.

I got kicked off Shop and Scan years ago as it was such a bloody faff for too little reward. I did it for ages but it was a relief to be rid in the end

Same here dreading getting back with the food shopping and having to scan it all before putting it all away.

The Nielsen one was worse. I got rid of that really quickly. The stupid charger thing that was plugged into my phone line used to wake me up at 3am beeping away as it sent its data.

That is definitely not worth it getting woken up at 3am in the morning!
You would think by now they would all just have a simple smartphone app to scan and send your data in.

I quite enjoy scanning my shopping - apart from cardboard egg boxes, which never seem to scan. It took a while to start with but I have a system now and it only adds a couple of minutes to putting it all away. £1.50 for a few minutes extra work ain't bad. I just cashed out another £30 this morning.

It took me quite a few months I think until I heard from them as they are ideally after people with Demographic X in City Y etc.

Anyone out there still doing this?

I was in CEX the other day and saw them using a barcode beeper that looked exactly the same as the one I used to use for ShopAndScan so I was reminded when they used to pay a fair whack of cash and I was going great guns on there and each time Black Friday week came around on Amazon I would have around £300 worth of Amazon vouchers to use!

@Jon I look into CEX. Shop and scan I had to wait months for my acceptance. Not sure if it's worth the effort, shopping is bad enough, then scanning everything again and putting it away is soul destroying I find. Thinking I might just scan my top up shopping and not bother with the main weekly one with 100+ items.
