a LOT of people take part in the monthly challenge now and sometimes I wonder what their personal aims are with the money they make.

For me it's all about experiences I think. I like going places and doing things and if I am going to have to fork out for those things I'd rather it comes out of my 'extra' income than from my main job which is what tends to pay the bills and other boring stuff.

I'm very much a 'plan ahead' kind of guy so for example we are having some more work done on the house in August and i've been putting aside a few hundred aside each month so that when August roles around I'm able to pay. We tend to do that quite a lot with things that need doing to the house where we will book in trades people months in advance lol

Holidays are like that as well I feel, i will often pay the deposit and then chip away at the holiday cost over the months before we depart

So do you guys have any targets you are aiming for or does your online money just end up going on the bills?

I have a holiday booked to Disneyworld. My online earning have paid for the flights. (£2500) since November. Though I did use some earning towards Christmas presents for my children.

I am aiming to pay for some of our park tickets from online earnings and some spending money too.

I tend to put most of my extra earnings into a holiday/travelling pot

Except for online vouchers i.e amazon etc. Them I just put on my account and think of it as a lovely bonus when I buy something and don't have to pay with actual cash ;)

Good plan this @disneygirl

My current Florida trip for August has been paid entirely by my online earnings (like the previous 2 lol)

Trying to get some extra money at the moment for seat upgrades.....

Last month's earnings have just bought me a new gaming PC :D

They tend to just go on the monthly treats like days out, meals etc.

Yeah the amount of treats I've been able to give my family since earning decent money online is fantastic!

I love using the extra money and vouchers to treat myself now and again.

I think when you work extra you need to treat yourself a fair bit so you feel you are actually benefiting yourself and get some enjoyment at the end of it!

I do a bit of both. We enjoy eating out and going nice places when we can, so extra income is useful for that.
I also sometimes treat myself if I get vouchers. Although mainly I try to shop local, Boots and Amazon vouchers are always welcome.
In the past, my extra income helped me to clear my credit card debt. It also helped me to start spending less.
One may think, it would be the opposite but I think nowadays, instead of buying something, I tell myself that I will save for it (vouchers or part of online income) and by the time I reach the target, my urge to purchase X or Y has long gone!

Vouchers get spent on food/items for the house. MB profit will go towards paying off the mortgage although at the moment we're still working on increasing the MB pot so haven't taken anything out yet.

I put everything I make into our 'fun fund'. We went to Bluestone (the Welsh version of Centre Parcs) last week and everything was paid for by online earning. It was so nice not having to worry about what we spent, we booked loads of activities for the girls (2 & 5), and we had such a wonderful time.
I'm already back 'working' for our Christmas holiday.

Wow that's great that it got used to clear your credit card debt!!

That's some clever thinking you have there about giving yourself time to see if you REALLY do want or need the product in question

That's a fantastic thing to spend your Risk Free Matched Betting profits on, it should really shorten the term of your mortgage!

Just looked up BlueStone and it looks amazing! The south west area of Wales is probably the only part I haven't been to yet!

Mine's going on debt and into my emergency fund currently (plus some spending money for a pre-booked trip to America!). In the future I want to use it to cut my debt to zero (apart from my mortgage) and then start chipping away at the mortgage plus save for some nice holidays each year. I'd love to visit Thailand one day! I would also love a five start city break in the UK and treat myself to a couple of nights of pure luxury indulgence...at least these are the dreams that I use to keep myself motivated anyway! :)

I use mine for experiences mainly too at the moment. It's nice knowing i can pay for a holiday, days out, meals, trips and so on out of my 'extra' fund without worrying about saving up.

Long term though, i want to get into investing and will hopefully be pumping most of it into something related to that.

My online earnings are my only earnings so it pays for all the really fun stuff like food shopping, my car and mobile phone etc. Yeeeee haaaa, let the good times roll :p

I'm trying to keep any Amazon vouchers I earn towards paying for Christmas.

I want to try and squirrel some money away from my earnings as I am hoping to go on our 11 years delayed honeymoon next year. I am looking at a few days in Miami and then a cruise so I need to find at least 5k from somewhere :)

I think it's nice to have dreams about things you want to do life - they help keep you motivated when it comes to earning money from home
