Oh that's a shame, my son is desperate to do something to earn himself some money but I only applied for a Social Media project on the 17th and
haven't heard anything yet. Status still showing as "in process".
Should I be joining the talent network as well? Or would I have indirectly joined that when I applied for the project?

Recently applied for Crowdsourcing with them and just done the test today - still waiting for the results of the main test but I was unsuccessful with the spelling test 
(I'm not bad at spelling, so was surprised at this one).
I got four of them wrong - one was my fault, one I mis-heard the first word, one because I really struggled to make out three of the words and one where I put an 'i' instead of an 'I' - even though I thought I was supposed to be doing them all in lower case.
Does anyone know if it is possible to do the spelling test again (obviously it would have to be a different UK test), if I am lucky enough to pass the main test? I know that you can only do the main test once but it does not say about the spelling test.

Quick update for anyone who finds themselves with a similar query in the future: I was able to click on the spelling test and do it again (not sure if you are given a set number of hours to complete these as there was a countdown saying 1 hour 59 mins remaining).
The majority of them were different, though there were one or two from the first test.
Thankfully I passed this time and seem to have been accepted as I had to put in my Paypal email and accept the contract etc.
Just have to wait for a project now and hope I get on with it okay as still no idea what I will be doing ..........................

I hope you get on well with Appen, I've only ever done Transcribe work for them but have never heard any complaints about working for other areas of them.

Thanks @Jon Is transcription work audio typing? I wouldn't mind trying that but not sure my speed is good enough (probably about 50wpm on average) plus my hearing is not great, so I may struggle with the occasional word. Is there a test I could take at Appen to see if it were suitable do you know?
Just got an email invite from them about a Text Data Collection Project. Having seen their warnings about phishing emails I thought it best to check on here first to see if anyone else has received one. I have looked on my account but it just says I am not assigned to any active projects but guess it would say that if I have not actually accepted one.

Have just registered with this company. As I understand it I just can't do the social media evaluation as I do that for Leapforce but am fine to do anything else?
yeah I would have thought so. They are different clients anyway from memory unless something has DRASTICALLY changed from when I was working for Leapforce
I have an account with these guys and have done what look like the key qualifications on there... just wondered if they seem reasonably active these days or if I should expect this one to be an as-and-when deal, as I haven't seen any work come up yet?

"Appen is looking for parents with kid/s 8 years old and below who are native UK English speakers to participate in a paid language research and development project to improve voice recognition technology.

Don't know if they accept grandchildren but I may ask them and get mine to do it if they want. Will keep you posted on what they say about it

Not heard anything about my Crowdsourcing application and notice it is back on, so wondering whether to apply again or try for the Web Search Evaluator one instead.
The WSE one mentions having a computer less than 3 years old though (mine isn't) and doing 4 hours a day typically. Can anyone please advise if these are completely flexible days and times or not?
Also, is the WSE pay similar to Leapforce WSE work? I am thinking of trying Leapforce too/instead of. I understand that no-one can say too much because of the NDA, thanks
