So is there an actual profit to be made by laying the bet? Because if that was the case then surely this would be the way forward during such offers that span a few days?? But as I say, it's likely my misunderstanding!!
Hi, @Lizziew24 :) Sorry not to reply sooner, like Jon says, best to ask on PA.

I believe you still need to lay the bet as the SNR profit will be worked out on the Calculator to take account of the 'lay' and 'bet' amounts. If you did not lay it, then you would not be insuring yourself for the bet winning at the bookies.

Hopefully someone will be along to confirm this to you

Thanks @Knopfler ive managed to lay three days on the trot with a "green" figure showing on the calculator! So I'm trusting it. But will ask on PA. Still to hear back from Appen....sounds like you are getting there but all a bit frustrating for you!!

Hi, @Lizziew24 it all depends on your bet and which calculator mode you are using, plus there are different calculators for different bets on various MB'ing sites, so it can be confusing (especially if you have a 'bird brain' like me, ha ha!).

If you get a red figure this will be for a 'qualifying bet' such as 'bet £5 to get a £10 free bet. The red amount is your 'qualifying loss (QL).
In other words you will lose the red amount IN TOTAL, but you will then get a £10 Free Bet to use.

When you place the £10 Free Bet you will calculate it as a SNR and the calculator will show the green amount IN TOTAL that you will get, regardless of whether the bet wins at the Bookie or the Exchange.

Hope you hear back from Appen too, good luck :)

Thanks @Knopfler. It's reassuring to have likeminded folk about who are willing to help! :):)

Not at all, I'm still wet behind the ears with regard to MB'ing but get such a lot of help from the people on here that I like to try and help anyone else whenever I can - as long as I don't confuse them in the process - or bore them with my waffling, ha ha!

I've made over £100,000 now from matched betting... Which is just insane!

A lot of it has been luck on slots offers, obviously, but at least 15k-20k of it is from sensible offers that everyone should be offered.

I am also a VIP with a number of sites now (thanks to all my big winnings/wagerings). Here are a few of my screenshots @Max - hope they help...

I've used some money to live on, some to adapt my mum's home, some to help other people then I've got 50k in my premium bonds (maximum you can have) plus some money in my husband's account and savings with my bank :)

Thank you. I won't pretend it was all risk free offers. It wasn't... However, since I won £7,906.12 on Sky Vegas a year or so back I've made it on to a few VIP lists... Some recent things I've been given just to incentivise me to sign up:

Hampers
£100 that was withdrawal (HAHA) - had this on 3 different sites so far
£50 Amazon

These are mostly those lesser known sites that are all run by Cassava and the like. I usually join, take the free item and run. Presumably because I won a lot before, and was betting big (to complete my wagering) they think I'm some big time gambler and want to entice me in.

Thanks to my work/savings we've got enough to buy a house when the time is right in 18-24 months. Should only need a 50% mortgage and prices here start at around £250,000. That is assuming the next 18-24 months I can save £1k a month still. Which is a realistic goal.

I'm having a brain fog :(

I'm doing the Bwin offer but for the first time my bet (deposit + bonus) has won at the bookies and not the exchange so I now have £98 at the bookies to roll over. Do I bet it all in one go or break it up into smaller bets?

The other bets I have done like this have won at the exchange :(

Glorious Goodwood starts today. Nice couple of easy money offers from Sky and Ladbrokes and betsafe to get things started as well as the Bet365 4/1 offer on every race.

I've been really struggling with the sign up offers and finding things to bet on. I even lost the chance to use one of my free bets because there was zilch to bet on with Betstars. When does the Football season start again? I'm going to take a break until then.

I've been a bit quiet lately :) Football season can't come quick enough!
Got a couple of things on the horseys today, feels like ages since I have placed a bet!
I have done a couple of casino sign up offers with gamseys sites. Won £180 with one and £70 with the other so that was good (but dear god, the 40x wagering was a killer)
Feeling ready for August now!!
