Hi All

I was wondering if the experienced matched better think you can make money long term while not betting on horses? (I don't agree with horse racing so don't want to put money on it). So far I've just done football and that seems fine but I'm still just on the sign up offers.

Thanks.

At a guess i'd say you limiting yourself to half the offers if you discount horses. You should still be able to find enough good football and other sport offers to make it worth while though.

Plenty to be made without horses. I hardly ever bet on them anymore as they often lead to quicker gubbings.

Obviously you can make more with them but it's certainly not the end without.

One thing I will say is when Cheltenham rolls around which is the riches week for Matched betters (oh and royal ascot) you may want to join in just because of the sheer amount of money that can be made over a few days!

I've been going two years and rarely do the horses now. I stick to football and tend to make £200-400 per month. It depends how much you want to make, but if you're happy with that sort of figure, you won't need the horse bets. I don't really do greyhounds/boxing/tennis either, so if you wanted to up your profit you could look at boxing and tennis too, though you need to be careful with tennis due to different rules between bookies and exchanges.

Thanks. Making a few hundred pounds a month sounds great! it's all extra spending money which will make life easier until I start work again (once kids are at school).

Thank you for asking this question - it saved me doing it as I'm the same as you and I'm completely against horse racing as so man horses die on the race track or get shot when they are no longer profitable.
