Wow! That's quite a list (all achievable!)

I've done the stop drinking for a few months at the start of the year thing before but I only ever get as far as March before I cave lol

I bet you're really excited for your wedding in July as well!

I guess as you are going to Disney in 2019 (same as us!) you are booking in 2018!

It is quite a list but I'm more determined than ever this year, I did Sober October and didn't find it too hard so January should be easy as I'll be healthy eating and exercising more..

Absolutely cannot wait until July, having the family happy for us to elope to NYC is a weight off our shoulders, its going to be so amazing. As soon as that's done we'll be looking at booking Disney (if not before!) so we'll be keeping an eye out for deals and starting to save and plan in 2018.

Start earning money from my blog, start making money from couponing, build up my savings more, get fitter and lose a bit of weight, try to get my kids to like home cooked food, have a better work life balance whilst earning more money (not achievable I know), maybe look into reselling items that Ii have bought in charity shops, declutter house and hopefully move if we get an offer on our house, try to sort out my Son's sleep problems

Not much to achieve there lol

The home cooked food drama is a struggle! Our boy can be good with most veg but on the wrong day or if they are mixed it’s a meltdown, good luck! If you need to have a rant or share tips you know where I am x

My first one isn’t money related - I haven’t finalised my plans for them yet...

1 - find one (or more) person to replace my on the stem cell register. It was my resolution last year to register to be a donor, which I did, but now, unfortunately, I am no longer a suitable donor since I’ve had quite a big diagnosis this year. Obviously I was gutted to find out I’m poorly, but also pretty sad to have to withdraw from the register, so I’d like to get more people on there in my place.

Ahhh that is bad news on both counts. I hope things are under control for you, whatever it is. It’s something I’ve thought about doing myself, so I will look into that on your prompt.

Don't really tend to make any , not convinced they are useful and lasting when I can just do it at any time of year, a view of constant change rather than rather sudden.

Personally, I've been going through bad time at work, a trend to continue in 2018. There is a very little prospect for me to change jobs at the moment and I don't feel strong enough to start something new. So my biggest resolution is to have a meaningful life outside work to balance this. With little time I have from working long hours and feeling drained, not sure if I can do this.
Apart from this, I want to save more. I've made the first step and increased my pension contributions for 2018. I want to spend less and save more too. I have a savings account and I want to put something into it each month. Whether it is £20 or £200 doesn't matter.

I've been back to exercising and eating healthily but since I had surgery in November, I stopped going to gym. I'm planning to go back from January. My diet is usually healthy anyway so there isn't much to change there.

I might try and go back to MBing. However, like everything else, it feels like too much work at the moment. I know it isn't. It is just how I feel.

Overall I think nothing really exciting or extraordinary.

Anyone making any as we head into the new year..

I’m not one for personal goals (especially long term ones!) but there are things I would like to finally get sorted around the house such as have our back garden lawn redone and a few other things

also want to join a tennis club from both a fitness and social point of view I think I would enjoy it!

I suppose work wise there are a few ideas I’d like to finally get off the ground as well!

what about you?

I don’t really do the goals thing either however a friends devastating news this summer definitely changed my outlook on life for the better. Things are just things and time is way more important than things. So I guess in 2020 I need to make the most of my time and spend it with the people I want to spend it with.

I'm not making anything specific, as I fail every year when I set them but

1) Be stronger this time next year than I am now
2) Be healthier this time next year than I am now
3) Be able to manage my time better
4) Finish my 2nd year of uni without having a nervous breakdown

Have you only just learned to drive? I would say it took me a good year or so before I could drive after passing without thinking about it. Even things like motorways took even longer because you end up being on them so infrequently (especially if you live in Norfolk which had NO motorways for me to practice on lol)

yeah nothing gives you a jolt to the system like something happening to your friends and family to ground you a little bit and give you some more direction in your life

And since I wrote this a flaky friend has cancelled on me again. Too many times now for it to be a coincidence. Lesson = Time will be spent more wisely elsewhere.
