Blog title help?

One of my new years resolutions is to start a blog. I've been wanting to do it for a while - just didn't know where to start.

Something I'm struggling with right now is the name of the blog? I was thinking of something like "how to get your shit together", it's basically going to be a lifestyle, organisation blog...

I am just wondering if I would have trouble with having "shit" in the title, in terms of possible advertising.etc. in the future

Any help would be appreciated on this, I have so many posts in mind, I'm just struggling with the actual name of the blog!

How did you decide on yours? Something simpler maybe? I'm definitely overthinking this

Yeah don't go putting the word shit in the blog title, it will just bite you in the ass further down the line

In terms of how I came to the money shed, I knew I wanted the word Money in the title and I also knew that if I called it something dry like moneyadviceforum or earnmoneyforum then that's never going to gain traction so I went with Shed!! (although at one point I was going to be called The Money Dog which looking back at it just seems moronic!)

I knew I wasn't going to have a niche so I went down the nickname route. EVERYONE calls me Chammy (a few family members call me Mainey/Maines - name is Chermaine) but then I wanted to add something to it, something that did kind of tell people what the blog was about. That's where IRL came in, In Real Life, it's a term I use a lot myself in the gaming community.

Modern Money Life was mostly @Jon's doing while batting names around the place.

UK Vegan Bloggers - pretty much explains itself.

I doubt my blog naming will end there...but I'm too busy now to even think about planning another

I used to own ‘www.oneweeklater.com / .co.uk’ and I regret letting that one lapse as it would be a great blog title.

Good luck with your new blog! I chose my blog name as Much More With Less because even though I was only writing about frugal food at the start, I thought I might want to expand into wider money saving and money making content later. So make sure any name will allow for expanding your blog - for example, some parent bloggers who started off with baby-related titles found it tricky years on when they had teenagers.

Great point this

I see mummy bloggers with titles like bensmum or mumtooone and then have more kids or they have one called babymumma and the their kid is like 12 years old!!

There is another another weird mummy blogger who writes all their content in the 1st person point of view of their baby so “mum and dad went to visit the zoo today....”

How about disorganised life? Or something playing on the theme of disorganisation. Tidy for success maybe? If it’s about how to get organised then you you should fit the theme of disorganisation in there since it’s more likely to be messy disorganised people like me who are looking for help!
