I just read your blog post about your goals for 2018 and whilst I havent actually set myself any `hard targets` for this year, a lot of the ones in your personal list rang true with me.

Ditto. Definitely struck a chord over getting the credit card cleared and diverting the cash into savings/investments.
The beauty of that is I'll effectively be hiding money from myself so won't be tempted to spend, spend, spend.

Is what against fair use/terms conditions?
Are you talking about the recent one about paying cash in? If so, it is worth checking the Terms & conditions but usually they require (x) number of direct debits. Not everyone is paid monthly so they can’t discriminate those who get at more regular intervals.

I'm glad you included stocks and shares as an option for passive income. If you choose stocks or funds which pay decent dividends then they will keep on paying out even if the stock market drops for a while. I have limited investments but the ones I do have were bought to hold for the long term. Admittedly the last few years have been unusually good for investors, but they've been the most return for the least effort of anything I do to make money.
I’m planning a few related posts around each topic where I have a bit of knowledge. Only a bit of knowledge mind - I’m barely a jack-of-all-trades!
