I must admit that I am a 'refugee' from the green site. I was on there a lot, as well as Hotukdeals, looking for bargains on the Grabbit board mainly.
I had actually looked at their matched betting board but felt it to be too intimidating? or something. It was only when I joined here that I felt that maybe I COULD attempt it, and get answers to any silly questions I might (and do) have.

To be fair that is where I first heard about THIS great site.

I must have been one of the lucky ones as I posted regularly on a few different boards, with good results. I knew that some of the threads had their own little 'clique' though and usually avoided them. I did learn some stuff and did benefit from some tips and bargains though - some of which I have shared on here, hee hee!

I occasionally go back (mainly if I need a 'techie' helping hand or stuff I can't find on here) but THIS is my new home :), please let me stay :D

Signed up and made my first post. I give it 24 hours before it's realised and the poo hits the fan lol.
Good luck lol... i lasted 20hrs.. one thread 3 posts on it... Does anyone think i got banned purely for being a Shedder? Is that actually a thing?

Had joined the green site forum yesterday and posted a question about credit card transfers, had a couple of replies, thanked both, then on logging in just now i get the massage you have been banned, reason : not specified, when will ban be lifted: Never!! Guess they don't like users to post questions hehehe

I go on there a lot and have not really had any issues - I have had a few disagreements as there are a few people whose answer to everything is "go bankrupt" and "don't pay anything back". There has been a problem with something technological as a lot of long running diaries have been deleted. I am not sure how far they are with fixing it, but some are saying it is hackers - why I don't know.

I joined the green site but found it very depressing. Lots and lots of posts about how to cut down spending and scam some companies but very little on how to actually increase your income. I am a firm believer that you have to look at both sides of a balance sheet. I am not prepared to look at supermarket carparks for old till receipts to earn a few pence (known as wombling) or to run endless videos on my phone for a few pence a day. Reading through some of the diaries on there I feel a lot of people will never actually clear their debts.

There is some useful advice there and I have not been banned.

I do get what you are saying here.

when I Look at the up your income section on there I am BAFFLED why year after year it never seems to move on from Swagbucks and survey sites paying pennies.. It's like the higher paying stuff just doesn't exist over there..

Here is a great thread with some equally baffling advice

Too many threads on that green site to do with money making that are low paying. Haven’t even looked at it again in months. I just find this Forum allot more user friendly and more useful tips wise as well as decent paying earners. Not only that so many restrictions over there whereas here people can voice their opinion without getting jumped on and can put what they want in their signature too.
Honestly ridiculous in this day and age when you can’t even be allowed to have a few links in your signature on a Forum. Most people don’t spam with just links anyway and it can be useful for other people to see what people are using to make money.

I looked at the money making bit on the green site when I first joined and got bored. I only visit the competitions forum now. I haven't looked at the rest of the site for years. Probably about the same amount of years ago that I joined here :)

@Jon watch out, or we'll all want super duper, money shed special names! ;)

Thats the reason why I don't like it too. Full of self righteous money savers patting themselves on the back because they saved 7p last week by drying out their teabags on the washing line and reusing them. Growing your wealth is more about increasing your income than saving pennies off the weekly shop.
