See I think getting distracted by other blogging opportunities is far to easy. The earning potential with blogging is limitless so it's very easy to go off on a tangent and suddently think up new blogs that you think would bring in a larger audience and in tern more money

A good post - I did a lot of research before starting blogging and pretty much of all it was saying that it'll be at least a year before you start earning so reading your post refinforces this!
I think maybe another reason is that people blog about subjects they don't enjoy because they think that's what will make them the most money and end up losing interest and motivation as a result because they're writing stuff about things they don't like that no one's reading!
