I'm back in the UK. Super holiday but I'm exhausted now. Weather was perfect but we overdid the walking around the city. We should have booked for longer and did a bit more lying by the pool. Need to save up for next year.

Well I'm being a bit boring this week. Booked up some mystery shopping for April. Signed up to another company. Applied for some market research but not likely to get it. Keep getting offered evening focus groups that I can't get to. Not really got back into MB. Went to a quigong class last night which was good. I'm over my £200 march target so not complaining. Lots of unpaid babysitting.Just don't feel I've been
very productive.

I'm a glutton for punishment. Because it felt quiet after my holiday I signed up for more mystery shopping companies, applied for assignments and basically got them all! apart from a couple of big ones I'd love which have not yet been allocated. I'm going to be up to my ears in mystery shops, calls and reports. It's all a bit eeek! Plus I'm on night shift again which has advantages but means I'm likely to be knackered.

Try holiday hypermarket 4 weeks before you want to go.

Well I don't really know which way is up just now . My body clock has gone completely wonky and I've had mystery shopping up to here. It is now 1.30am I got my last report in at 11.58pm and I'm babysitting at 8am. The good news is that I tallied up my total assets and despite my holiday I am worth £500 more than I was 3 months ago. £300 of that has made it's way into premium bonds so that's proper savings. If I could find a better 'real' job life would be easier.

Nice relaxing day with my 3 favourite little monsters, school holidays, not a report in sight. I am still learning about mystery shopping and how each company works. Some are definitely easier to work for than others and fees do vary a lot. Until you've done a few jobs for them its hard to judge who suits you. Got another new phone that I like a lot more. Moto c is now a work phone with a lebera sim for voicemails. Surveys have suffered while I've been busy. So I'm not going to make as much as I usually do from them.MB has been disappointing with free bets not being credited. Not sure whether contacting them brings unwanted attention.

I think it's fair - as long as you're doing some mug betting with those companies as well.

And today mystery shopping £2.25 and a 36 mile round trip. Managed to spend £88 on sweeties and trainers, but my trainers do look nice and I love a flying saucer.

Not a money making success this week. Very little mystery shopping. I had a 3 part job to do that was cancelled, postponed, the night before. My regular calls also got moved and I couldn't do them because of 'real' work. Very few surveys completed. 1 What users do which wouldn't send the follow up question and no reply to emails, and my MB is down by £49.50. The loss is not because MB doesn't work but because I did some casino offers, bet on the grand national and didn't even place and my unlaid accas lost. The grand national was proper betting so shouldn't really count but I used my MB bankroll and if I'd won then thats where the money would have gone. The casino offers weren't bad choices they just didn't pay off and the accas all had +EV so just bad luck. Also my poor Mum who has advanced alzheimers has been taken to hospital with deep vein thrombosis so emotionally I'm a bit of a mess.

So. deep breath. I feel the need to simplify my life. Yesterday was a lovely day. I took the 3 boys to a lego fair in the morning. the burger van for lunch, a science fair, a park, and then to Morrisons for dinner. The sun was shining and it was a lovely day out. Today I have made the decision that I need to organize my life so I can have Saturdays out and Sundays at home with nothing to do, I am pushing 60. I get tired. The night shifts don't help but I just can't make enough consistently to give them up yet. A day of rest every week is needed if I am to stay relatively healthy both physically and mentally.

100% agree with you and this was one of the reasons I went down to part time hours at work as I was just reaching burnout doing 5 days a week + all things TMS related!

I have now got more regular 'real' working hours which are wed 10pm to 6.30am and friday 10pm to 6.30am. It's better than before but with travel costs, 80 miles a wk, travel time, national insurance and the disruption to my sleep pattern. It demands a lot for a takehome pay of less than £100.
