Never imagined I would be posting on this thread BUT OMG, drum-roll .........................................

won £177 earlier tonight from a free £2 Bonus slot offer with 3 x wagering! I have only really stuck to free slot offers so far, with a few £1 'muggy' goes very occasionally.

Eeek!

Whilst we're on the subject of casino offers, is it me or are there very few offers ever on PA? They do pick p some free spin ones, but outside of that you're lucky if you get one a week.

I'm guessing people find their own ones and determine their EV?

I cant find my screenshots from when i did MBing, but used to win big often on Lucky Wizard on Betfair... best was something like £3700 on a bonus round (But was not risk free, would win about a grand then play on really high stakes) loved that game

I quite enjoyed the ridiculousness of Rocket Men (where I won) for a while, but then it just got a bit dull again like all slots. I need the bonus things there to break the tedium..

I haven't a clue about the Bonus rounds on any of the slots. I can just about do the Frankie one, which is picking random sections of the course for a multiplier or cash, until you pick the wrong one and the bonus is over (last one I did I picked the multiplier 5 times in a row, then a 10p one before busting out for 50p, ha ha!).

Think we need a shiny new slots thread @Jon with basic tips of how to do slots (popular ones), what the bonuses entail, how to find wagering done so far at each bookie etc.

Yeah If you leave a bonus and then go back to the slot the bonus will carry on where you left it ;)

That's good to know for the future @Jon, thanks :), so presumably any winnings allocated at that point would still be on your account somewhere - even if not yet classed as cash?

One bit of trivia about bonus rounds, is nearly all of them your total winnings are decided the moment you press the 'start feature' button.

These are just computers after all and all they are doing is calculating a random number when an event is triggered (us hitting a button for 20p or whatever). The whole slot machine interface is for our benefit. So all those times where you're like... hmm, shall I pick the middle box, or the top right chest...that's just the game interface prettying up a result that's already been decided.

You can see this sometimes in action if you trigger a feature, then tab out to a separate window of the bookie. Hit refresh on your balance, and it's already gone up because the winnings have hit your account immediately, even though the feature, from your perspective, is still taking place.

So if you wonder why that x200 bonus is always in the Box you chose last time, no matter what one you select, it's because it's out of your control.

On the bright side, if you crash mid-feature you won't lose any money either because you've already won.

Aye this is why on slots like ted I will constantly push for a better bonus than the one I win because it’s just going to give merge same amount of money regardless!

Oh yes... I never believe I have control over these, but I like the bonuses to break up the play a bit and also means it's slightly more exciting as you tend to have small amounts and then get loads back in the bonus bits. Then people like me think - ooh I am £2 up and then leave the game happy!

God I still don't personally find it addictive BUT I think the reason for that is because it's all just so 'buy the numbers'.

With matched betting slot offer you aren't just aimlessly spinning on slots, you are trying to come out on top as a result of an offer the bookie is running so like you said @Stims 99% of the time I just set it to autospin and leave it to do it things. On some offers that have crazy wagering I actually get annoyed by bonus round as it requires me to actually do something to get the slot machine to carry on moving forward lol

Been trying out the slots today (the no deposit required ones) and I've been almost drifting asleep - some of the background tunes are so repetitive and relaxing. Probably also because the highest win was 30p and I was getting bored hehe.

Thanks for your replies @Jon and @Pbrail :) Yes, I was under the impression that they are all pre-determined anyway, so should make no difference if you log out, your pc crashes etc. and you just have to hope that from the minute you press that 'spin' button:

Sounds like you were just using the calculator wrongly which in turn made you think you would lose money with each offer which is mathematically impossible if you do everything correctly lol (Select SNR on the Calculator, put in odds, that's it!)

However, if it just all goes over your head then I think you made the right decision!
As far as i know i was doing it right, so i have no idea where i was going wrong, hence me giving up in the end..
