Possible another dumb question. Do boosted accas on WH still qualify for refund if one leg fails?
They do still qualify on Ladbrokes and the WH terms don't preclude it, but I haven't tried a boosted acca on WH yet.

Yes they do. They may also be responsible for me getting gubbed by Hills :( so treat with caution.

No wonder bookies hate us. Just looked at my unibet account. Made one deposit of £40 when opening it and basically spent the last 18 months cycling that money round and round going up and down as bets won and lost but never deposited another penny with them since. Managed to withdrawn £300 in the process too.

It does get easier. As your profits grow you tend to 'invest' them into the exchange (s). If you do have some spare cash then the more you can invest into the exchanges the better. I 'loaned' myself £1500 at the start and eventually paid myself back about 6 months in.

I’m the same as this, I’m aiming to have just cumulative profit by the end of June which will be my 6month mark

How often do you guys cash out everything from one bookie and move it to another? Just wondering as I’m still in my early days?

Once I’m done with an offer I just withdraw :)

Excellent thank you. Wasn’t sure if it was best to leave or not. Is there one bookie you leave a bit in for lay betting at all?
you mean an exchange?

Yes I leave my money in betfair exchange if I plan to do future offers in the immediate (as in next day!) future

Yeah Betfair, so that’s the exchange then? I cashed everyone but them out.

Do check out Smarkets as an alternative Exchange. Most MBers use them a lot as their commission rate is a lot less than Betfair (they have 90% of the markets Betfair has so you don't use them exclusively but over time the reduced commission rate makes a lot of difference). If you are a paid member of PA or OddsMonkey then you can get 0% commission on Smarkets at the moment.

That’s good to know, yeah I’m a platinum member of PA now as of today, so still all shiny and new and learning the lingo.

Apologies as I know this must have been asked before, but I tried matched betting last year and completed all the sign up offers. Unfortunately I had to withdraw all my earnings for other reasons. I would like to start up again soon. How much would I need to restart with? Really appreciate any advice on this as I hope to be able to put money away so that I don't have to clear my accounts again.

My thoughts would be to take as a start the amount of money you could (in theory) tie up for a couple of months - you won't of course but it might be a good rule of thumb. Then take 20-40% of that as the amount you would use at the bookies and 60-80% to invest in your favourite exchange (noting my comments about Smarkets in the posts above)
