Is anyone else having issues since they redesigned the site? I get error messages often and I just did a study that had no completion code so I cant seem to submit it so i guess i wont get paid for it :(. I wish it would go back to how it was!

I've done one since they changed it and it worked OK for me. I prefer the old layout though to be honest.

If you click on the "legacy" tab you can still use the old layout at the moment but I'm not sure how long that will stay on for

There must be thousands of software and website developers around the world who make a living out of buggering up perfectly good applications with updates nobody wants or needs. Microsoft have even made it their core business.

My theory is the town planners from the 1980s who messed up all the high streets with pedestrianised zones and mini roundabouts have now retrained and have new careers in IT

Thanks for the tip about the legacy option I didnt know you could choose the old version of the site. On the new version you could click 'ive finished' but you had to put in a code to actually submit it, I couldnt see any option to submit without a code like you can with the old site.

I did a study a couple of weeks ago and was asked if I would be happy to help with further research. I gave them my e.mail and since then they have contacted me twice to transcribe 40 captcha for ten pence. I think it is a bit dishonest.

I've had this too. I think it's still part of the survey, to see whether we will do it.

Transcribing captchas is almost as tedious as some other survey sites, but even more pointless. The email went straight into trash.

Yes had the same too. 10p is ridiculously low so straight into the trash. Sure lots of people will do the same.

I had something similar to the transcribe thing a few years back - a boring, long set of things to do each day for peanuts. I did it because I hate to not do things when I've said I will. A few weeks later, got a nice bonus, which I wasn't expecting. I'm not saying that is what is happening with the transcribe thing, but Prolific sometimes works in very mysterious ways.

2 months and still not had a prolific study. Emailed them again and got the same generic 'we know and are working on it' response

In just 1 week I've made £9 verified and have another £4 still waiting. It's worth keeping an eye on the site and doing all the prescreening questions. I had £5 just for doing a shopping list yesterday so stick at it :)

I find Prolific very hit and miss but last week I had two days where the surveys just kept coming and then back to nothing, so it is worth keeping your eye on. I also think there are fluctuations with the amount of work depending where we are in the academic year. I do find these the most interesting and best paying surveys around. I know some of it depends on your demographics and some of it will depend on whether you have completed a similar type of survey before. We don't all get the same surveys offered that's for sure. I find it is a must to have some sort of page monitor set up though. Good luck everyone.

Ive had about £26 from them last month, but have had no surveys this month, Im hoping its just a dry spell. The University terms are ended, so fingers crossed it will be more plentiful after the summer break. Best to answer all questions as honestly as you can!

I’ve made just over £20 since signing up a week or two ago, I check a few times a day, I couldn’t sleep last night (I suffer with insomnia) I did about 5 surveys all amounting to around £6 so not too bad for a bad nights sleep.
