Honestly, It's no suprise the UK high street is going up the crapper!

I go to petsathome to buy my dog some a large bag of dogfood (it's their own brand food btw!)

It's £35 in store but I notice online with petsathome it's £6 cheaper at £29 so I ask if they will price match their own online store and get told no. Then I ask if I order it to store can I just take one off the shelf that you already have there and you can keep the one that gets delivered.. Again told no, so the only thing they can offer me is to order to store and collect in 3 days when the item is right there on the shelf now!!!

Sod that, walked out!!

My

!

My brother gave her his unused pc and she rings me telling me she can't get the monitor on. She realised she hadn't plugged it in, still nothing so I told her she's got it in the wrong port. "No I definetely haven't" 5 minutes later, "it was in the wrong one it's on now!" Was that the end of it? Nope, now she's realised she hasn't got a mouse so I had to drop one down. Had to reset the whole computer whilst I was there which took 7 billion hours, no doubt I will get a barrage of questions later when she's back from work too.

Being a villa fan....goes off to hang head in shame and sulk a lot!
been there before with Norwich - It sucks but the following year we made it up to the prem!!

Bloody hate Fulham, we were forever losing to them! Worst being the 6-1 defeat on the last day of the season in 2005 which sent us down...

Not a happy bunny today... Working in London and when i got to Heathrow to park up i realised my laptop bag with my new lappy in has been nicked..must been while doing a delivery... Hell mend me for not locking the door.. thankfully it is fingerprint protected but changed all passwords in case.. small mercy is they left my big camera bag with all my very expensive camera gear in... Oddly am not too upset about lappy as it was only a £300 one but what i am really kicking myself for is in the bag was a wee spoon with Winnie the Pooh on it that i have had for nearly 50 years that my mum used to feed farleys rusks to me when i was a baby... That is peeing me right off!!!

gah that sucks

I remember back in 2003 i bought one of the first ipods which must have cost like £400 quid. 2 weeks later my Ford Fiesta got broken into and i had STUPIDLY left the ipod in the glove box!!

Plus I was an IT Contractor at the time so lost a days pay sorting all that out

was a very expensive day!!!

My husband has been made redundant twice and it's horrible for everyone and incredibly stressful. Has your fiancé signed up with all relevant recruitment agencies as my husband has found work both times using this route through local agencies. Also, has he looked into temping, it may not be ideal but depending on his industry, and whether he is wiling to do a different type of work, he will have an income. Good luck. Hope it goes ok.

I've 'fed' farleys to my 3 kids … when I say fed, it was 1 spoonful for them and 1 for me … strangely addictive baby food!

Thank you, it's been a stressful week and we're sort of in limbo at the minute because now they are offering him something else but in all honesty we don't trust the employer one bit so we are not taking any chances and still looking for other work. They also owe him money and we are disputing what holiday he's owed. The money I'm making from home should tie us over for a bit and now he's seen everything I've been doing online he's a tad jealous and wants to do it himself! :p It isn't possible at the minute, but who knows maybe sometime in the future. Oh how nice it would be!

Lol. You can be his mentor and charge him a teaching fee whilst he's learning the ropes. That'll add to your monthly pot for a little while!

If they're being a bit iffy over pay etc, it might be worth consulting with an employment adviser at a CAB if you've got access to one. It will clarify his position on all fronts. They used to, probably still do, go to tribunals with you if it comes to that. Some offer a telephone consultation as well. I used to work at one so know how helpful they can be in these situations, and inversely know how dodgy employers can be as well. Alternatively, if it comes to it, an employment solicitor would be helpful if they don't play fair.

I found out today I've been walking on a broken foot for three weeks. Not sure whether I'm more pissed off that it's broke or the fact that it means I can't walk on the bloody crutches. Beginning to wish I'd carried on ignoring it and coping with the pain.
