Hello everybody

Thanks for confirming my membership and also for my welcome email (Jon).

Let me introduce myself. I’m Dactara and I’m a Mum from the North West of England. I currently work for myself, running a very small business that works with children. I love it and it allows me to work around school hours which is important to me at the moment. Sounds great? Well, the downside is that I’m really struggling to survive on what I’m making, let alone afford treats for my daughter. I’m very worried.

So, with the above in mind I found this website and I’m really hoping to adopt some of the recommendations and boost my income. I already do WhatUsersDo but find that I get very few surveys that I’m actually eligible for after initial screening questions. I’m really interested in mystery shopping and apps like Roamler from the small amount I’ve read on here so far. Will have a good read around the forum to get some more ideas.

Lovely to ‘meet’ you all and any suggestions/recommendations would be ever so welcome! Thanks in advance, D.

Hi there - I live just over the hill from you. Welcome to what I have found to be a great friendly helpful forum in the two months I have been here.

I also joined WhatUsersDo but find myself in a similar situation when it comes to the screener questions.

I have found Prolific Academic surveys & Branded Surveys to be two of my best earners since becoming a member here.

There are regular surveys available on both sites in my experience so far (make sure you keep your profile up to date). The length of time these surveys take are reasonable & the amount you are paid relative to the hourly rate is normally good, especially with Prolific.

If you want to use my referral link to sign up with either they are as follows:

Prolific Academic - https://www.prolific.ac/p?ref=DOWR7WDR

Branded Surveys - https://surveys.gobranded.com/users/register/a74001095489e34e9485c30a6

There are so many opportunities out there that I am still looking to explore. I guess in your case they need to fit with the other commitments you already have in place.

Good luck!

Hey @Dactara

fantastic to have you on here and posting!

Do you have a ball park figure for how much you are looking to earn each month?

I can’t recommend this site enough. It’s made me thousands over the past 11 months and this week it’s allowed me to start working from home full time.

I’d look at matched betting. I was a total sceptic but I’ve paid for a holiday to Florida this year purely through it. I only invested £50 at the start as well that I had made through surveys.

Also look at usertesting, usability hub and intellizoom for website testing. I can usually get 2-3 tests a week on usertesting and they pay better than what users do.

Audio typing could be good as well, Crowdsurf is probably the easiest to start with and requires no commitment, just log in whenever you want to.

Clickworker is also worth a look. It won’t make you a millionaire but it can definitely add a few ££s each month.

Thank you @geebobuk . I’ve signed up and completed a few surveys now. I had initially signed up to Prolific using Jon’s referral code before I read your post but I have now signed up to Branded Surveys too using yours. Thanks for your other advice too, it’s really great to get recommendations.

I’m not sure how to multiquote yet so I’ll attempt to tag people to reply on this one post. @Jon Thanks for your advice. Honestly, any extra income I can earn at all would help but I’d be very pleased if I could make an extra £200+ per month. I have no idea how doable that is but willing to give it a really good go.

Wow @maisiemog that’s wonderful! How fabulous for you to have earned enough to pay for a holiday! Thank you for the suggestions about different income streams I’m going to get my teeth into finding out about all of them this week.

I had a dreadful few days money wise. Some lovely individual threw a stone through my car window which I had to replace. Then the next day I had my car tax and MOT to do. Then the car failed the MOt as it needed 2 new tyres...yikes! I need to get serious and hopefully it’s given me the kick up the bottom to proactively sort things out for the better.

Been there and got the T-Shirt on that.

It's also MOT and Service time for us next month

£200 a month is EASILY doable, heck once you start Risk Free Matched betting you will more than likely clear £500+ a month. Just take a look at the sort of money that was being made in the September Challenge Thread!

That’s great to hear, very encouraging!

I wonder if I could ask if anybody has a Roamler code to help me on my way!?

Hi Dactara! I have 2 young children and work part time in the evenings but using this site as a guide I easily make £200+ each month so your goal is definitely doable!

Welcome and all the best! :)

Thank you @katykicker @Ar_ & @Jayro152 - what a friendly place :)

I really feel great about finding this site now. I just need a spare moment to sit and get my head around everything so that I can start to make some money. I’ve made a little tiny bit of headway on my 2 survey sites so far already!

@Ar_ it’s so hard isn’t it...when you work so hard for your little business and believe in what you do, you really want it to succeed but without a little cushion of money behind you when times get hard it’s virtually impossible. I’m hoping I’ve found my solution here!

Welcome to the site! :) you’ll have a great time here. Don’t feel too overwhelmed; the great thing about a place like this is you can visit daily/weekly/monthly and all the information will still be there at a pace that suits you.

Just remember it's not a race.

None of this stuff is going anywhere so take it at your own pace when it comes to learning all the different methods we use to earn decent money online!

Hi and welcome.
On the survey side I like Yougov as it’s a cash payout - probably twice a year and there are no screenouts. Link is in my signature.
Also Ipsos and global test market.
However as Jon says if you can get your head round matched betting you’ll think of surveys as small fry!
Good luck.

Don't worry - it's quite overwhelming when you start out.

I always say to people start with what you're interested in / sounds good and then whittle it down to what you really love. There are so many little ways to make extra cash online now x

Good advice. I’m ploughing through surveys to start me off. I’ve signed up to mystery shop but I’ve not plucked up the courage to do a task yet :D
