Hi everyone! I'm ladymissell, I'm a new member of TMS. Found it by scrolling through hashtags about budgeting and frugal living on insta (don't judge me ) as I'm desperate to get out of debt and be financially independent. Had a bit of a crisis in my personal life in the last couple of months and it's made me realise how bad I am with money and how much that has affected every area of my life.

My goal is to make an extra £2k a month, with extra hours at work and side hustles (I've started matched betting, mystery shopping and an absolute ton of survey apps/sites), and I'm also going to apply for a 2nd job which is coming up in January. With the extra income I want to pay off all my debts and not be over my overdraft limit every month, which is the worst feeling ever!!:mad::eek:

So good luck to all the other newbies, and thanks in advance to the veterans here who have such great inspirational stories and advice!

Thank you! It's always easy to start these things though - the test for me will be to keep it up and stay dedicated to it!
Well make sure you come and join in with our October Challenge!!

Heck I even give away cash prizes at the end of the month in it!

Hello, my name is Ellie, I think this is a great site for sharing money making ideas and have previously used sites recommended on here for survey companies and still use Prolific Academic which has come in handy many a time when I have been short of money.

Hi all,

I'm Neil, I signed up today after finding a link here whilst looking into field agent as I live in a medium-sized town and wanted to be sure I wouldn't be wasting time .. looks like i might be.
I'm starting up my own small business but want to make a bit on the side to cover any extras, looking for at least £300 a month but click sites like Swagbucks just weren't enough. Looking forward to finding new and interesting ways of earning a little (even if it's enough for a bottle of wine on a Friday night I'll be happy!).

Hey @NeilE

Fantastic to have you on here and posting!

£300 a month wouldn't be any trouble but like you've found out, you need to drop the likes of Swagbucks / clicksites and instead do more higher paying work that pays you better for your time!!!

Hello.

I follow this site on twitter, I think it was recommended to me by GPTGenies.
I've got chronic illness and I'd like to be able to bring in some money during the times I am well enough. So I thought I'd come and have a look and see what new things I can try.

Thanks

Hey @Mollywallop

Fantastic to have you on here and posting!

Great to hear you were sent our way by @GPTNikki and co

Do you have a ball park figure for how much you are looking to earn each month?

Thanks for the welcome!

A few hundred would help. I've been looking at the matched betting stuff. Can you clarify for me what I'd be paying if I sign up for PA now? I get a trial, I saw that. Do I have to deposit any money to get going? How much do they then charge after the trial?

Thanks

I started with £60 and never put any more money in and have made over £40,000+

PA membership is £17.99 which is obviously irrelevant when you look at how much you will make each month!

ironically I would say DON'T READ TOO MUCH!

It makes everything sounds far more confusing than it needs to be compared to just clicking the banner above and doing the free trial and LEARNING BY DOING!!! ;)

That might be a good idea actually, I tend to overthink things.

Hi folks,

I just joined :) I have a chronic illness and can only work part-time, but recently it's become so stressful it's making my health worse. I've been doing survey sites for years, but am looking to see if I can boost my income enough to risk taking a sabbatical. In-person jobs where I live are hard to come by, and I have very few marketable skills. I came upon this site by accident, but it seemed like a good place to start looking for new ideas!

Hey @Jaxcat

Great to see you are looking to move on from survey sites! They are fine for cutting your teeth in the online earnings world but aren't any good I don't think if you want to earn a sizeable chunk of cash each month without driving yourself crazy in the process lol

Hi all,

I have a large interest only mortgage which I need to clear in 58 months. I tried Matched Betting a few years ago and didn't quite get it and I ended up putting some in of my own money. I work full time and fairly long hours but I am determined to clear the mortgage in record time! I have cancelled some direct debits, cleared out some savings jars and have paid off an additional £137.00 in the past couple of days. Really looking forward to looking at all the opportunities here.

Hey @Mrseeg

Fantastic to have you on here and posting, do you have a ball park figure for how much you are looking to earn online each month?
