Hi guys so seen an advert on Craigslist (not a dirty one lol) on how to make easy cash. So I emailed and apparently you send for example £50 through PayPal and he sends you £500 for example back. So I’m usually not so naive. He said there’s no trails so I’m guessing highly illegal or is this actually legit??

Sounds like he can't even be bothered to put effort into his scam.

Long-standing scam. In the days before the internet, it used to be "post £5 to everyone on this list then add yourself to the end and eventually you'll have a million pounds".

Avoid, and report to the police.

Tell him you'll send him the £50 if he first sends you £10 to confirm he's not trying to scam you. His response would be interesting I'm sure

It tends to be people like pensioners who they get and its just really nasty because they're so trusting.

Also there was actually a YouTuber recently who fell for a scam like this. Sometimes you're just not thinking straight so you keep getting sucked in and then they take your money.
