I got this email last week - your phone hasn’t auto updated has it?
Thus, we’d like to ask you not to update your Facebook app to version 288 yet. The version is not available yet,

II think I'm already using version 288. Had another issue today with one of the bake off images. I emailed them and they've said to log out of Facebook, uninstall and reinstall messenger etc. But then they've asked that I uninstall the rating tool, reboot the phone then reinstall the rating tool. Well I'm flummoxed as to how I would do that. Any idea?

Got my pay advice today and they are not paying for ads which havent loaded. Ive been paid for 126 ads this week, usually 138. Found this on their FAQ
"

Question: Will I be paid if the rating tool is offline or not working properly for me?

Answer:
No, Lionbridge will not compensate you if the rating tool is not working and no ads were received/rated that day. We pay only for ad ratings submitted by raters

I did an exam for their map analyst program thing, and at the end got an automated email saying I hadn't passed. Fair enough, but every single question required a comment/explanation to be written, I couldn't submit the answers without one. There must have been 100+ comments needed in total, only for the results to be checked automatically, so the comments were a complete waste of time? Grrr.

I’ve been switched over to the MSG OOPS rating program. It says there’s no change to the overall hourly pay and that the daily fee is $5 plus $0.30 for each submission. But now I’ve got to rate 30 instead of 20 and do it on Facebook instead of Messenger. Anyone else?

A few weeks ago they told me off because they said on one of the weeks I used the same rating too often. Even though they’d sent me a couple of emails before that telling me how well I was doing. I was being honest with my ratings. It’s not my fault that they give me like 3 dating apps to rate in a row, 5 gambling ads, 2 teeth whitening ads, etc... And I’ve just done this new one and it’s even worse! The questions are 1. how offensive is it. 2. How misleading is it. 3. How inappropriate is it and then 4. Choose a word that best describes how people would feel towards it, and the options are mostly negative feelings like Shocked, Angry, Annoyed, Disturbed, Uncomfortable.. and the only other 2 options are Indifferent and Other. Well for 95% out of 30 I would feel indifferent?! And 95% of them aren’t offensive, inappropriate or misleading in my opinion. Anyone else feel the same?? They should have more variety if they’re gonna pick people for up for using the same rating too often.

I had that a couple of times where I couldn’t see one of the ads. Only one out of 20. But it happened on a few different days. And I just rated it as I wouldn’t mind seeing it haha and then wrote that I couldn’t see the ad.

*awaits email stating I breezed through it because I missed a large and fundamental section of the rating *

How were you rating them though? I'm finding myself putting "Wouldn't mind seeing it" and "Indifferent" for pretty much all of them?

Yeh I was the same, theyre mostly non descript. Ive put indifferent and other for a lot of them. When did you get switched over to this tool? Were you on this when you got the email saying you had rated the same way too often?
The new one doesnt have any options such as 'happy' or 'interested' so I am guessing that the client brief is just to see if people get cheesed off with particular types of images

I got the email yesterday the same as you, and my telling off was a week or two ago.

I'm sure I will get a telling off because I only just read my email today and it was meant to start on Monday. Today I have done both the MSG and started the OOPS. I prefer the OOPS one.

Yeah I had that today but I just rated it anyway.

As long as I can read text then I will rate it even if the image does not load.

Also disappointed to still be waiting for another decent job from them after moving off job evaluation and sitting on the reserve list. Can't see me making much at all on side hustles this month.

Appen have got a few things on. Ive never done anything with them but might be worth looking into

They emailed me middle of the week to say they are still waiting to get to me.

I dunno, It's done when it's done

In terms of the wait to get onboarded, that's just how to goes in this world with these companies. I know it sucks but as ever you need to look at ways of earning money where YOU control the work flow instead of waiting for these other companies to hire or fire you and impacting your income
