I do feel that we are pretending that unemployment isn't incredibly high right now just because everyone is on furlough.
It's a bit of a con imho. All of this talk of paying it back is nonsense. Ask yourself this...who do the government owe money to?

Not much impact on me really. Freezing the tax thresholds will make everyone a little worse off as time goes on, especially as they're frozen until 2026.
