I did mine on Friday night & it took me about 45 mins altogether to make sure everything was done ok. I fully understand that concern. It was only when the refund hit the account that I felt relieved to be honest & I have been doing matched betting on & off for nearly 8 years!
I think there is a lot of focus within the betting world on William Hill in particular at the moment due to poor recent financial results. If you do a Google search on Philip Bowcock & find an interview he has done with Sky you will see where they are looking to make their main future profits.
I know I'm a maths geek cos I got a bit of a thrill out of seeing the £125 refund hit my account knowing that I had managed to lock in a profit of £65 & hoping one of my 5 horses comes home in 5th place!
If you lay in the Top 4 Places market on Smarkets or Places (4) market on Matchbook you will win extra profit only if your horse finishes 5th - this is in addition to the profit you make from the £125 cash refund minus the Qualifying Losses from the Back/Lay bets placed.
I never touch them for Racing other than the big ones like National day or Cheltenham - I just don't think it is worth the risk of losing the account, although you probably would get away with using it today to be fair.
Yes you can, you do two lays for each horse you have backed, one lay in the win market & one lay in the place market.
There are ways of calculating this by using the Each Way Calculator on OM & I presume something similar on PA.
In answer to the question about whether you can do 5 x £25 E/W bets for the Bet365 offer, that is what I have done for the last two years & I got the refund. Just make sure you read the T&Cs to make sure there aren't any hidden pitfalls. I didn't touch 365 today & won't tomorrow either. I did...
So I hit my target of £500 for March but I'm expecting to spend some time in hospital during April for an operation that is imminent. Rather than put my target up I will stick with £500 & see if I can still achieve it as I hope to only be out of action for a max of 3/4 days.
I would definitely recommend doing the sign ups with Heart Bingo/Jackpot Joy/Monopoly Casino/Starspins/Virgin Games
Even if you don't make anything from the initial £10 deposits they often do reload offers where they match your deposit & the bonus only has 1 x wagering requirement.
I don't know whether you have signed up to OM or PA or even PM but there have been posts on there giving details of which bookies are partner friendly & to what degree. Might at least save you a little time.
