Appen has this annoying habit of sending emails about jobs, then when you apply for them, take the test, etc, they make it sound like you'll start the next day, then you never hear a thing from them. It is a really badly run company tbh. I stick with them because there is nobody else left.

January is the first month in quite a while I haven't had any work from Appen, so I really hope that isn't a sign of things to come with them.

Thanks for the advice. No luck so far, thought I had a job lined up, even got as far as signing the NDA but then that was it, I heard nothing else. Think it's going to be very hard to get anything decent on it as there are so many very low-paying jobs, as well as the non-verified payments. But...

Yes, it's very strange, it seems in getting rid of a lot of the scammers they have also blocked lots of decent workers as well. Just typical of the clown show that is UHRS I guess.

So I've just recently joined Upwork, but so far I have not had much luck. I find it all a bit complicated if I'm honest, and I hate the fact you have to use these things called "connects" to apply for jobs when you only start with over 100 and some jobs are at least 16 connects to apply for...

Thanks for checking, glad you have your access. I was quite confused as I only do one job on UHRS now for Oneforma, and there is no spam in it, so not really possible to get a bad score. But it seems from what I've read it's been very random in who they have decided to get rid of.

I don't know if anyone does any work for them anymore as anything decent is so limited now. But apparently, they have done a mass cull and a ton of users have been blocked on different vendors, for no apparent reason. I myself have been blocked on Oneforma so I just wondered if anyone else had...

I think they're a bit of a shambles tbh, some people get paid, other people have to wait for months etc what sort of way is that to run a company really?! Maybe they are hoping people will eventually forget they are owned any money and just give up :confused:

Well, you're luckier than me, I haven't got a cent from them for the August job, and if I remember I think I did quite a few of that one.

I can't even be bothered with it. Of course, they still haven't paid for the last task back in August I think it was, what a shock! And now we're meant to start another one, and all for 2c?! I don't think so.

No not all the time, I just noticed it today, I think I had 5 today and all said the same thing. Hopefully, they sort it out, there is little enough to do atm. Cheers Rich

Not sure what is going on with them atm, because every time I get a survey and click on it, it says the survey is now closed, even though I click pretty soon after I see it. Very strange, anyone else having this issue?

It's good that they have closed it, but I would keep a close eye on the account just in case, it wouldn't surprise me if they still lifted the money out despite closing the account.
