If you've not logged on for ages then this might be why you don't have any invites. They are always looking for decent UK testers. They've revamped their Academy recently. It's a good way to get used tor recent platform updates & appear higher up recruiting lists
My biggest tip is to take part in the Academy cycles. It really helps you learn what is expected & as you are with other new testers it is a great environment to learn. Usually with these cycles the websites & apps used have some easy to find issues. Keep digging & you will find them - check all...
They've recently introduced uTest Academy which is much better at helping you get started than the old Sandbox method. And you don't have to be brand new to take part. https://www.utest.com/articles/the-academy
I've had my appointment for the count today. First time I've counted for a local election - just done General & referendum before. Still waiting to hear if I'll be opening postals this year or not.
Got my letter this morning to apply for roles for the council elections in May. Been offered the opportunity to issue & open postal votes this year too.
Well done on passing sandbox. I've been with them for 2.5 years now & despite not having any background in IT I am gold rated for functional testing. I would say it's probably my main source of income - though some months are better than others. It's very daunting when you first start out on...
Got home at 3.30am. Feeling like the living dead today though!
My polling station was crazy busy. Didn't go anywhere near my book! We were in the same building as the elections office which we thought would be an advantage when it came to queries but it was the opposite. The PO was hardly...
Just had confirmation I'm counting - but it's not at the Guildhall so I'll have to scoot over to another location. Luckily it's on the way home & not t'other side of the river like the previous General Election :) Training session this evening.
Got my info through this morning. So excited because I'll be in Worcester Guildhall this time (https://www.worcester.gov.uk/guildhall). It will be odd being somewhere different & with different people this time. The count is usually at the Guildhall so hoping I've been posted there because I'm...
Something strange has happened to my birth date. Currently says I'm the grand old age of 117!! Can't remember if I initially entered my birth year so maybe it is to do with that but the day is wrong also.
Re: Elections 2016 - Work as a Poll Clerk
County council elections here but no city council this year. I'm signed up for the same polling station & PC/PO as both of last year's. Hopefully doing the count on the Friday too.
