    Local Selling

Just been looking through some FB local selling sites. Some of the titles do nothing to help buyers or sellers. Things like, table, all without anything about size, condition etc. It saves a lot of hassle for both parties if the basics are given in the title and description!

    Buy/Sell The perfect scenario.

I purchased four tools on Sunday at a car boot and paid the dealer £14. Any one of these has to pay for the rest. Just sold an axe from this bunch for £20. Anything from the rest is bunce!

Could one make a blog out of short story telling?

As some of you know I earn money reselling on ebay. I also get a very small amount from my stories and non fiction booklets on KDP. My question is, (a) could one turn short <2000 word stories into a blog and (b) Could they be monetised? I have the ability to write at least one story a week...

Titles on Ebay CAN make a difference

I once had a book for sale on Ebay called Spon's Mechanics. It was a do-it-yourself type book that told you all about photography, making things in wood, firework making and so on. As 'Spon's Mechanics' no interest at all. I relisted without the title and simply said, MAKE YOUR OWN FIREWORKS. I...

    A small, but passive income.

As some of you know I make most of my cash from selling on ebay. However, there is a little something I tried out about 4 years ago and that was putting up small booklets on Kindle Direct Publishing. At first they paid okay and I made about £15 to £20 a month. It was my intention to increase the...

    Risqué profits

I didn't realise there was a market for used underwear, but apparently it is very big and profitable. Just Google it and see what comes. There are even videos on You Tube!

    Hire a friend!

Not sure where to post this, but thought it could be an idea for someone. I saw an advert for being a paid friend. There are a lot of older, lonely people out there and the idea was to visit them for a chat, give a bit of company and make a charge. You need to remember, as well, that not all...

    Dick Barton's Selling Megathread!

There is good money to be made from reselling used picture frames. You see lots of these for sale at car boot sales and charity shops. Many are priced at 50p to £1. As I type this I am looking at ebay where there were 9 wooden frames sold for £39.99 plus £7 postage. The largest of these are 11.5...

Other Earning Opportunity ETSY...Make things to make money

I have only used ETSY to sell vintage items such as prints taken from damaged books. However, anyone looking for some new ideas might find what they are looking for with this site. If you are good at making things this might be for you as they tend to specialise in home made items. I have, at...

How I paid for the removal of my rubbish...a bit novel!

Having had some building work completed I had quite a lot of rubbish to get removed. I contacted a buddy who does house clearance and he quoted me £25, which I was happy with. There were a few other bits to be dumped including an old table with tapering legs. I kept these and sold them for...you...

Has anyone (who is basically an amateur) ever made any money from submitting photographs to the various sites? As I understand it they are very strict in what they accept.

More places to sell physical products

Having had a Robinson's Golly bottle removed from Ebay and Etsy I have been looking around at where to relist it. It does seem that many people rely on ebay, etsy and amazon as the only places to sell. I have been doing a little research into other areas and was surprised how many classified...
