a 'cat-copy' perfume company have asked for a sponsored post

it includes the line

"It’d be ideal if the link was ‘dofollow’, and I’m happy to pay reasonable compensation for the privilege of appearing on your popular blog."

I'm not really sure I'm interested in it (except for the mooolah!) as it doesn't go 'on brand' for my blog.

What sort of dosh should I ask for?

:)

although its a company with a .co.uk web address, the email sender's email couldn't ready any more that it came from Bangkok if it tried! :D
Right so they are just hunting for a backlink rather than straight up content so I would go back to them and say you will put a link into existing content (just write a paragraph) for $100

But I have a feeling they will tell you they only have budget for $30 :)

I always quote in £s, but I don't really get approached for shit much these days!

I know of someone else whose had this approach, as they DMd me on IG to ask for advise. I always quote a set price to everyone just for backlinks, of at least £150. But back in the day I used to go for £20-50.
