So this is 3.09am on 1/1/18. This year I am going try various ways to make money from home. I don't have any income at the moment. Literally none. I don't want to start with a sob story as I hope that this diary will be a positive place to come to that will help to spur me on.
So far I have signed up for surveys, what users do, qmee, swashbucks, some focus groups, top cashback and quidco. I am looking at match betting but i'm not quite ready yet. In theory I 'made' £200 in December but since it's all tied up in points etc lets not count our chickens until they are a bird in the hand.

Ok, I need to find out more about phone apps. I need a new phone but I need one that will pay for itself.

You can pick up cheap android phones for buttons at the moment.

VYPR = £10 a month for no effort
TMS New Poster Challenge = £5
TopCashBack = £15

Thats £30 without much effort and no spend.

but for proper money, check out @Jon WFH Blog post https://blog.themoneyshed.co.uk/working-from-home-toolkit/ as you'll earn plenty from that. You will have to actually do some work but give it a go :)

Thanks for that Reverend. VYPR looks like what I need. It's a bit strange starting just before Xmas as everything changes pace so it's hard to judge what's slow just because of Xmas.
I bought a moto c from giffgaff through topcashback so I'll check VPYR out as soon as it comes.

Currently you can get £17 from topcashback PLUS a £5 argos voucher.

Vypr is great but not a big earner.

Well, £5 just tracked on topcashback from giffgaff and my work phone alarm just went off so that's the end of my first workday of 2018 done.

So this year, so far (today) I have signed up to market force and been surprised by how many jobs were available that I could get to. 40 mile round trip but I do it most weeks anyway. Found out a bit more about phone apps. Not sure if they are for me or not but have bought a new phone. Not my dream phone but at least the os isn't so old fashioned that you can't even get snapchat. I was seduced by the topcashback offer from giffgaff and cash back seduction is a danger zone for me. I also signed up to a couple of market research companies for focus groups. So no actual real profit. I need to reconnect with selling on eBay. I used to make quite a lot from that many moons ago but it was a different marketplace then. I stopped enjoying running my shops when the big companies got in on it. One more thing I did today was start posting on here.
2018? So far so good.

Hmm, just got a populuslive £3 survey to do and it got stuck at 14% and wouldn't accept any occupations so wouldn't move on and wouldn't let me restart :( goes off in a huff to look for after eights.

I didn't try student but I did try quite a lot of common jobs that didn't work so I emailed them about it. At least the after eights got tidied up.

Oh dear. Started to feel a bit shivery. I thought I had shifted my Christmas flu bug but it seems not. Lots not done but what is new and positive?

* Global Test Market - I actually got all the way through a surveyo_O I am constantly getting screened out which is ok now and then but not over 20 times in a row and not when it is so far into the survey. I will be cashing in soon.

* I Have £22 cleared in Prolific so will be cashing that out. Really enjoy these ones and hope that there will be lots more when the Unis go back.

* First Royal Mail Survey stuff came. Play James Bond for stamps. Not sure if it will work for me. I had hoped the stamps would encourage me back on to Ebay. We will see. I love my postman.

I myself have signed up for a few different sites to earn some extra money/vouchers. I didn't realise that VYPR existed so glad I read this thread so that's another app to add to the others that I have downloaded. I am finding them quite handy, even though not huge payouts it's something to do while travelling to work or I have some spare time :)

katykicker you are THEE survey queen. It was reading your 30 day bootcamp a month or so ago that started me off.

jojoR480 some things definitely fit in better than others. I've only been at it 3 weeks but I already have some favourites.

Ok not the most productive day I've ever had but as well as the earlier stuff I did a wee bit banking/spreadsheet updating and donated my 74 swagbucks to charity. Got lots to do in town tomorrow which I'm not looking forward to if today's weather repeats itself. Night night,

It has been a technically challenging day. Not the actual phone which arrived and is ok. It's not really as good as my fire phone but the lack of apps is killing that. I think I am going to shop for the phone I really desire and write early to Santa. Not a lot done today money wise as I was out doing other things. A couple of surveys for pennies and some Qmee.
