Hello

I have just signed up to emotionminer using your signature - it's the first time I've heard of it. Is it good? Thanks, Laura
Hi Laura, Emotionminer hasn't started it's new project yet but it will be soon. The thing I liked about the last project was that you got a week to complete the task or two weeks if it's a jedi task. That means that you can do it when it suits you and won't disappear like surveys. I suspect that the fees will go down now that they have got a crowd but it will still be handy to fill in.

Well it's been a funny old week. I seem to have been really busy but that hasn't translated into much real money. Love my crochet class. Blog has just been used to share the crochet projects so that's an ongoing slow burner. No money but that's absolutely fine as I'm quite happy bumbling along with it as a hobby for now. Surveys have been slow. I keep getting What users do at about 4.30am which means they are gone by the time I get up. For a while it was 6.30am so I used to just catch them. I've done some mystery shopping, some good, some fine. and one job just a bit of a pain in the backside. No ones fault really just one of those things. I'm doing 2 market research online groups and another company contacted me about another one but I don't have enough allergies. Matched betting is a bit slower as I've done most of the bigger sign ups. I have a few free bets to place and I have opted into 3 free bet clubs. I'm not sure how profitable they are as you need very tight odds to make them pay and that will look suspicious. I'm going to nurture them. Not always bet enough to get the free bet etc but aim to break even on them overall while I decide on the best way to use them. So profit is slowing down for now while I work out a strategy for the longer term, and experiment with accas. Also managed 3 days 'real' job. I hate it but need the money.

Caught a WUD this morning and got a £5 payout from VYPR yesterday. Yeah. I might not hit my target this month simply because I've got several bits of money coming from payment runs on the 25th and no crochet class on Monday.. MB has a few issues. Not big ones just learning curve. Placed a couple of low risk bets to try them and was unlucky on all of them. Only a few quid but I haven't made much money this week as much of my bankroll was tied up in bookies and it can take days to withdraw it.I can see why you need a big bankroll to give this a real go longterm. Also I'm off to Morrocco in a couple of weeks. So I want to consolidate before I go. I also put my first bet on a horse. I can see me getting into that but slots scare me.

Forgot to add that my son's approach is very different to mine as he matches sometimes, sometimes cashes out and sometimes just straight forward bets. He is now over £600 up and started with a much smaller bankroll than I did. I had £280 he had £50.

Your son is involving an element of risk so that’s not matched betting anymore that’s just normal betting and hoping for the best when you cash out lol

Of course he's upping the risk but when he matches he is matched betting. When he bets that's betting. I don't see how casino offers are matched betting and some of the other offers. What is the difference?

yeah slot offers that are 100% matched ones are risk free but obviously the ones not like that are known risk

Remember this is the same person who wanted to sell my house for bitcoins. He's much more of a risk taker than I am. I'm probably a bit too risk averse sometimes. We are both having fun with it though. 2 good things happened today. First my car got through its MOT for the fifth time with no work!!!! Secondly I signed up to that quiz app and got right through to the jackpot. Lots of winners so only got £10 odd but still chuffed.

Of course he wanted to sell YOUR house....wait until he is your age and tell him he should sell HIS house for a bag of magic beans...

One thing I know about people who 'bet' is you'll ALWAYS hear about their wins, and rarely their losses.

Great news on HQ Quiz! My friend has won 4 times and had about $100 from it.

Alas he is still renting at 28. I was mortgage free by 30.

Nothing wrong with renting at 28, but if you are mortgage free at 30, I'd suggest not taking his financial advice!

:D
All that's wrong with renting at 28 is that it is just so hard for young people nowadays to get on the property ladder if they want to. I bought my first flat at 19 when I was a student on a grant. I didn't have wealthy parents it was just that at that time banks were throwing money at you 110% mortgages etc and I thought why not? There's no way you can do that now. A lot of young people I know seem to be working awfully hard just to stand still.

I was in a funny mood yesterday. Did two dodgy accas and put on a 'real' bet. Not exactly high risk but high for me. Fingers crossed.
Today I had to turn down £60 for 2.5hrs market research:( because of the timing. Gutted but I don't want to cancel my crochet class. Also made the mistake of emailing dreaded 'real' job to remind them that I'm going on holiday. They emailed back saying they had forgotten but had put me down for an extra night shift next week to make up. Oh joy.

Well, night shift was quite good apart from the sleep deprivation. The other wage slaves seemed a bit less stressed than usual. I've got another one to do next week plus one half day shift. It feels strange to be so relieved when I don't get enough hours. I can't say I've loved every job I've ever had but I've never worked anywhere with such an atmosphere of fear and insecurity.

It's a zero hours contract at a call centre. This is my third month.

Life threw me several curve balls in a row when my partner died at 51from cancer and both my parents developed Alzheimer's. I became a carer due to circumstances. On the other side of it I found myself skint jobless and old.
Hence the job in the call centre.
