With 2019 coming at us like a unstoppable freight train does anyone have any goals they wish to try and achieve from the new year?

My number 1 is taking part in park runs. I took up running in the late summer and can now run 5k without wanting to collapse and so I’d like to start taking park in parkruns around Leeds. I just need to motivate myself to get up extremely early on a Saturday morning lol

Number 2 would be that I need to get some kind of routine in place since I will be without a normal job anymore and the last thing I want is to just end up working on my laptop on the corner of the sofa 5 days a week! So I need to really get some sort of structure around it!

Number 3 : I would like to do some kind of course at a local college! I’m sure there are loads of great courses I could do around growing your business / online promotion etc and I’d like to join one if only because it would be good for me to keep up with human interaction once my main job finishes at Christmas!

What about you???

What’s stopping you at the moment on number 2?

Its a big number 2!

I'm not really interested in doing tax returns so the idea of having to manage some sort of tax affairs bothers me.

I also think until I've got my media kit released, no-one knows what I'm worth. It also gives me extra time to build up my DA.

Do you not do a tax return for what you earn now or do you just do matched betting?

Tax returns are honestly FAR easier than people imagine they are!

I know they aren't hard, I just don't know if I can be bothered.

Its why I've avoided them so far - but I know that I need to rethink that strategy if I take sponsored posts.

See I just keep an ongoing spreadsheet which i add to each time i get paid for some blogging work. That's it.

Copy and paste the big total at the end of the tax year over to HMRC and that's it!

Even though I’m dieing of man flu at the moment I sure am seeing a lot of 2019 goal setting going on on social media.

Saw a load of SET YOUR GOALS NOW type posts on Christmas Eve and I’m like JEEZ JUST GIVE IT A REST AT CHRISTMAS!!!
