Weekends are usually slower for me, which is understandable. Folks take the weekend off.

You're right to drop the ones that aren't doing it for you at the end of the month.

Hope you're having a better day today online.

I might start taking it off too then!

Determined to make some money today!

Update 7

Panel Opinion: £0.69 (This will be one of the one's I drop at the end of the month I think)
Prolific Ac: £0.00 (The site seemed to be down yesterday, and for a few days)
Populus Live: £5.00 (No change)
20 Cogs: £31.00 (No change)
VYPR: 5090 (Up by 120)
YouGov: 1282/5000 (Up by 120)
Top Cashback: £0.24 (No change, probably going to put this on the back burner)
MTurk: $4.10 (No change, probably going to drop)
Curious Cat: £1.52 (Up £0.93)
One Opinion: £1.90
Opinion Hive: 250 points (not sure how this will translate to rewards)
Qmee: £1.68 (No change, thinking of dropping as they seem to get a lot of data out of you before screening out repeatedly...)
Quick Thoughts: £1.50 (No change, the same as above...)
Crowdology: £0.96
Inbox Pounds £1.47 (Up £0.01, probably going to drop...)

Other: £10 from Jon for 100 posts, and becoming a newly minted 'Well-Known Member'!

In The Bank: £49.96 (Still waiting for roughly £10 from Prolific Ac)

£77.31/£150 October Target

Does anyone else find they keep logging on to TMS as one would head to the break room in a 'normal' job? Or is that just me?

Hey - just been catching up on your posts. You're doing really well! Better than I did when I first started out.. There's a few more survey sites that you might be interested in trying that I've written about here

Thanks Andrew! I have signed up for most on the list, but through trial and error found they weren't profitable, perhaps because I am a married woman in her early thirties without children? I'm not sure! Think I will keep some of these until I meet the payout thresholds and then ditch them completely.

Your blog is great, I'd actually found it completely separately from TMS, and have been following it for a while! Keep up the good work! :)

I would love to get paid to write, but this is something I have no idea how to get into legitimately. I have previously signed up for freelancer etc, and been discouraged by how little people want to pay for copy-writing jobs, and since I'm agoraphobic, I'm not best placed to make connections, and develop work opportunities that way.

I'm an aggie too! (agoraphobic). you'd be surprised what you can do online - I've been housebound for the last almost five years and I'm just about starting to get back outside, and I've worked from home for pretty much all of it. If you ever need any help or just want a good old natter or a rant, drop me a message :)

Update 8

I've been slacking the last few days, and have dropped a few survey sites/apps due to being lazy and not wanting to continue not getting paid when they get my information, so here is the updated list and totals...

Panel Opinion: Dropped
Prolific Ac: £0.42
Populus Live: £10/£50
20 Cogs: £83.50 (part of it is pending still, and I have 11 cogs to go!)
VYPR: 5120 (no change)
YouGov: 1342/5000
Top Cashback: Dropped from regular checking
MTurk: Dropped
Curious Cat: £2.93 (Up!)
One Opinion: £2.45 (Up!)
Opinion Hive: 250 points (no change)
Qmee: Dropped
Quick Thoughts: Dropped
PanelBase: £4.15 (no change)
Crowdology: £0.96 (no change) will drop this one when I reach the £4 cash out threshold.
Pinecone: £0 (how regularly do you hear from them these days?)
Inbox Pounds: Dropped (they keep not crediting me for surveys and mini polls)

In The Bank £61.66

£166.07/£150 (but I won't class this as the goal met until it is In The Bank!)

I received an email from Appen last night, about filling in some forms and carrying out my first task, so I'm starting to feel a bit more hopeful. I'm going to fill out the forms etc for Appen today, and keep an eye on a few apps etc, but not expecting to earn a huge amount as it's the weekend! My main focus will be 20 Cogs (determined to cash out next month!), Prolific Ac and Curious Cat.

In The Bank: £101.66

I never even thought I would make a penny this month, but look how close I am to my goal of £150 now? :)

Update 10

I'm finding it hard to keep track of how much I am earning, as I keep cashing out, or using money already earned to make some money from this 20 cogs 'thing'. I've been worrying today about what I will do after I have cashed out the 20 cogs account, what will I be aiming for?

As I've worked through this month I have had an opportunity to see which sites are really paying for my time, and I'm aiming to introduce some new ones for trial this next month. I am also thinking about setting aside a proper diary for keeping notes on my money making, as my notebook is now a mess of notes and cash outs and ongoing amounts of money... It's making my head spin a little!

Prolific Ac: £4.42 (up £4)
Populus Live: £10 (no change)
20 Cogs: £148.50 (3 cogs to go, all pending)
VYPR: 5550
YouGov: 1452/5000
Curious Cat: £1.25 (cashed out £4.24 on the 22nd)
One Opinion: £2.55 (Up £0.10)
Opinion Hive: 250 (no change)
Panel Base: £4.15 (no change)
Crowdology: £0.96 (no change)
Pinecone: £0 (no change)
New! Oh My Dosh: £1.55
Ebay: £40 (no change)
Bulbshare: £5

In The Bank: £112.58

Don't ask me to tell you how much in total etc!

Update 11

So yesterday ended up being a better day than I thought. I received an email from someone at TextRanch, who I previously expressed interest in with a link for a proofreading test. I took the test and am trying to stay hopeful that I did it correctly, and will get given a chance.

This weekend I am going to focus on writing and scheduling blog posts for the rest of the year, and just check in on some apps whilst I work.

Prolific Ac: £4.67 (£0.25 up)
Populus Live: £12 (£2 up)
20 Cogs: £176.50 (again, all pending, and not counted)
VYPR: 5760 (Up)
YouGov: 1452 (No change)
Curious Cat: £2.39 (Up £1.14)
One Opinion: £2.55 (no change)
Opinion Hive: 350 points (Up 100)
PanelBase: £5.30 (Up £1.15)
Crowdology: £0.96 (No change)
Pinecone: £0 (No change)
Oh My Dosh: £1.55 (No change- but not checked)
Ebay: £40 (No change)
Bulbshare: £5 (No change)
Winnings: £65.56 (Accidentally won this by taking a cog for 20 cogs, and then immediately cashed out!)

In The Bank: £178.14

Considering my target was to earn £150, I'm really pleased, though I am very aware that a big chunk of my earnings this month have been one offs, like getting money from TMS for posting a lot, or winning money. I will probably set my target for £100 next month to reflect this...

Hi Countrymadegirl
I was reading some of your earlier posts about matched betting. I have done this in the past and made some good money. It really is risk free. Think of it like this. You place a bet on a horse to win. You place another bet for the horse to lose. You don't win and you don't lose, BUT once you have done this a couple of times the bookmaker gives you money as a bonus that you can cash out!! I know this is slightly over simplified, but it is the basis behind matched betting. I think you are doing well with all your other money making tasks. If you need to know what you can earn on ebay look at some of my posts.

The start of a new month, and I've decided to set a target of £200 to reach. I was pleased and surprised that I earned £178.14 in the end last month, and with all my work with 20 cogs, I am hopeful I can smash this months target, and get some more payouts before Christmas.

Through trial and error I worked out which survey sites and apps were worth it for me, so dropped some of those late last month, and now I will be trialing a few new ones throughout the month. I am also thinking about doing a review of sorts about my experience with doing 20 Cogs, like a how-to guide?

I am planning on starting the Christmas shopping today, so if that isn't incentive enough to get earning, I don't know what is...!

A slow week. I did no real work this week because it was my wedding anniversary and my husband took the week off work to be with me. But I thought I would update this diary anyway.

Prolific Ac: £5.79
Populus Live: £15 (hoping I can cash this out before Christmas!)
20 Cogs: PENDING £191.50 but I have worked out that I won't receive this until early December...
VYPR: 7280 (again, hoping to cash out before Christmas!)
YouGov: 1572 anyone else find that once there has been an app update, they are not able to log in?
Curious Cat: £4.96
One Opinion: £4.95
Opinion Hive: 350 (thinking about dropping this one as I'm not getting surveys)
PanelBase: £6.80 (going to drop this one once I reach the £10 threshold, as it screens out almost every time)
Pinecone: £0 nothing since I signed up...
Ebay: £441.00 (finally sold my iMac, but it's been stolen by someone in the buyers block of flats, so will have to assist with insurance claim etc... never again)
Bulbshare: £5

In The Bank: £441 (smashed my £200 target!)

I plan to kick it up a notch and really try with my earning next week, so hopefully I can make even more. I am currently saving to do a bookkeeping course, which works out to be £619 or so, so I'm a good chunk of the way there now!

Thank you <3 it is! I've never sold anything this big before, and it's such a weird situation, as it seems the buyer is suggesting that someone impersonated him by signing as him, and now some of his neighbours in the small block of flats he lives in know anything about it... My poor old computer!
