Hi,

Dumb question, if you are taking an accumulator offer of getting a free bet if one leg loses, what happens if you are laying it in the normal way (sequentially?) but two legs lose - does that mena you end up with a small loss?

Yep.You are relying on at least 1 in 10 coming in. Typically it is a lot less than this, but for a lot of Reload offers you are taking as small a loss as poss to eventually get a free bet.

Thanks for this, just wondering if using the lock-in method would be better for as far as I can see it guarantees a profit, just not as much. Wondering what methods others use?

I think alot of people do a mix of both . one to make back the losses

You are not 100% guaranteed a profit with the lock-in method, but the odds would have to move significantly across all the legs for you to lose out. Jon does mostly standard, but with a couple of lock-ins to cover the QL on the standard ones.

For me I just do standard, and have a method for getting a profit if all five legs come in (I find Ultimatcher is useful for this), which tends to bias it towards doing the standard ones.

You just need to try some and see how you go. Not the best time to start though as limited football except for the friendlies and World Cup. Personally I would advise tracking them using the SEQ M tab in Ultimatcher, which takes a little time but does provide a good personal record.

When you are comfortable with Accas there is a method of getting better returns on free bets using 2 or 3 leg Accas you might want to try.

Thanks for this. I may wait until the football season starts and then give it a whirl. Got so much going on with the World Cup that attempting Accas might just push me over the edge .
